Re: Jean-Kévin Augustin-LUFC ordered to pay Leipzig €21million as CAS sides with them.

Stitch up again! I knew we wouldn’t win after all it’s an evil English Premier League club, swimming in money, versus a poor little Swiss club and we know that the Swiss are always moral and incorruptible (I mean look at that nice man Sepp Blatter). But, whilst I thought we were relying on a technic...

i'll just lob a hand grenade into the mix .... well done Victor? Sorry OB I’m not having that! It’s pretty clear that the two American lads (and Kristensen for that matter) were Marsch picks. Even if we were linked with Aaronson before Marsch arrived, which I think was the case, I believe we had al...

Re: Qatar World Cup 2022. Cameroon v Serbia

Well done to the Germans last night, I thought they matched Spain all the way and looked the team most likely in the end. It looks as though they are going to sneak through now even though they lost to Japan in the 1st game and might yet go a long way - they are nothing if not resilient.

Re: General Chat

I’m watching episodes of Minder on t’internet at the moment, in between the footy, and really enjoying it. Just coming to the end of season 3 currently and it’s great watching actors such as Bill Nighy and Pete Postlethwaite in their younger days as well as the brilliant George Cole and his foil Den...

Re: The #LUFC Breakfast Debate (Monday 28th November) Adams shines in Qatar

The current strength of the dollar against the pound will be a motivating factor for the 49ers to get the business done as quickly as possible. I, for one, feel that, at the moment, we are in a kind of limbo in ownership terms with neither party wanting to overly invest. Radz because, at this stage,...

Re: Qatar World Cup 2022. Belgium v Morocco + Croatia v Canada

Lucky lucky Germany! Had Japan won then Germany would have had to win tonight to keep themselves in it. Now even if/when they lose tonight, unbelievably they still have a chance of going through.

Re: Qatar World Cup 2022 - Tunisia v Australia. 10am

Lacklustre performance from England last night, they all just seemed to play at half pace with no urgency and very little intent. They offered the USA too much room to play in, England certainly need to be better in the next round, whether they are actually capable of upping their game against bette...

Yes I know Jay.

As you say could be a close game tonight, England will need to be at their best.

Re: The #LUFC Breakfast Debate (Friday 25th November) Leeds linked with €100m Brazilian forward

£86m - no chance! De Ketelaere, not sure I’d want him anyway, he burnt his bridges when he chose Milan over us, as far as I’m concerned. Funnily enough I kind of agree with Robinson to some extent. I’m not suggesting that Marsch would do this, but if he were to insist on buying players just because ...

Re: Qatar World Cup 2022. Belgium v Canada

Unlucky Canada. Very open game, they gave as good as they got and deserved to get something from that match. Particularly impressed with Davies a player not afraid to have a go at a bit of old fashioned dribbling round the opposition instead of just passing round them.

Re: Qatar World Cup 2022. Spain v Costa Rica

Im not gonna belabor this, but, out of curiosity, do you draw any limit to the reasonableness of excluding politics? For example, would you have let Russia continue qualification? Well, I suppose if I were to continue my stance that politics should not interfere in sport in any shape or form, then ...

When it's in the US, all we'll hear about is abortion. If it was in England, they'd have something to complain about too. Doesn't really matter who hosts it, do gooders will try to make it about them. Yes, you could have a point there SG90, which is why I’m desperate for football, all sport in fact...

Re: Qatar World Cup 2022. Spain v Costa Rica

Germany lost I see, oh dear, what a shame, never mind! With Spain to play next up they really are in danger of going out before the knockout stages, in fact before the final game of the league stage. I can’t see Japan not beating Costa Rica on today’s evidence so if they lose to Spain then it’s good...

Re: The #LUFC Breakfast Debate (Wednesday 23rd November) - Could the end of Mateusz Klich's time at Elland Road be in si

If Marc Roca ever reaches the required level then Klich at 32 is dispensable. Klich is a player who needs regular games to reach first team standard so judging him on one performance after weeks of inactivity is ridiculous to anyone with an understanding of how form and fitness need to be built up....
