Re: The #LUFC Breakfast Debate (Tuesday 18th May) Leeds ace snubs new deal - could depart this Summer

No goals & two assists in 30 appearances playing in an attacking role suggests Roberts is poor or average at best plying his trade in the PL, he isn't the first & won't be the last to struggle at the highest grade. Also unsure how some of our players would cope if they left Leeds not under the guid...

Re: Positives & Negatives v Burnley ???? (one of each please)

Cooper's come a long way but standards have climbed massively and not everyone is going to be able to meet them. To varying degrees, everyone has matched, exceeded or been a bit exposed by those new standards. Cooper may well be one of the latter or he may not but one thing's for sure - Struijk has...

Re: Positives & Negatives v Burnley ???? (one of each please)

Our defensive prowess has improved in leaps and bounds recently, and a good part of that is down to Cooper no longer being a 1st choice starter. Llorente coming more and more into his own and Struijk adding more of an aerial and physical presence accounts for the rest. I don't miss Cooper's red mist...

Re: Jack Harrison

One of many who can be cynical Chappel... if this was a regular deal and they were offering him at 10 mill I would wholeheartedly agree with you, but Jack has been with us now 3 season's...we know what he can do and know what he is capable of , some just mature slower than others... IMO we have not...

Re: Jack Harrison

The cynic in me wonders why Citeh are so keen to do us a favour through selling a young player with great potential for apparently far less than market value - especially as we beat them and drew with them this season...It's not like they can look at Leeds in a slightly patronising way as being a ch...

Re: Positives & Negatives v Spurs (one of each please)

Positive - Struijk and Koch look like they could be top performers for the next few seasons, and Koch looks like he can be an excellent DM when needed. I wonder if Phillips can be played as an 8 now and again as an experiment ? Before he was pushed back to being a DM he used to score a few goals fro...

Re: Leeds Utd v Tottenham Hotspur Match Thread - Unchanged starting XI, Phillips and Raph make the bench

There was no "knee jerk" after Brighton, it was a dreadful performance and they got deserved criticism. The players get showered with praise when we win, so why shouldn't they get criticised for poor performances? I agree SG90. What some people label ' knee jerk reactions ' clearly annoys them ( Fa...

Hi mate, can you point me to this discussion please? I can't remember it, and I obviously need to look into it... cheers Hi Hector. It was under ' Did the great man Marcelo get it wrong ? ' a few days ago. These comments below, which he will label as humour, but are more like heavy sarcasm camoufla...

Re: Leeds Utd v Tottenham Hotspur Match Thread - Unchanged starting XI, Phillips and Raph make the bench

On the quoted bit I would just say, what's it to do with you? That is another poster. Forums are about debate, agreement and disagreement otherwise they would be boring. The first part of Smudge's post was obviously a pisstake. Read the second part. People will always have a different opinion and t...

Re: Labour smashed by the Tories in Hartlepool.....

Not trying to sound thick or anything lol but... who are we actually borrowing all this money from? :bear: Investors who buy government gilts - in 1976 they ' went on strike ' and refused to buy anymore. They are usually investment funds. Some foreign sovereign funds as well. The Bank of England al...

Are you for real? I took Smudge's post at face value, stop trying to find offence at everything  :bear: Actually I chose to ignore some sarcastic comments/taunting from the same person in a very recent discussion about Orta's signings. Read them if you don't believe me. Unfortunately Velo dec...

Re: Leeds Utd v Tottenham Hotspur Match Thread - Unchanged starting XI, Phillips and Raph make the bench

I am so sick and tired of having a manager who has not got a clue on team selection, player change strategy...can only manage us 50 pts with 4 games to play in our first season in the prem... be so glad when this season is over ... . Seriously...what a turn around, it just shows you ...how ma...

the future is without Roberts and Cooper...and MB has finally found the player who can rival, and when need be stand in for Phillips.

Quite a turn up for the books without Phillips - does this mean that Koch can play DM effectively too ?
