Re: Leeds Utd v Tottenham Hotspur Match Thread - Unchanged starting XI, Phillips and Raph make the bench

Got to hit the target Jack thats two now. No consistency That's why we shouldn't waste 10 or 12 million or whatever it is to sign him. I don't care if it sounds cheap. We need to look elsewhere for a left winger in the summer. If he can't produce the goods now when he is playing for a permanent con...

I haven't bothered with politics for many decades now mate, I don't believe a word any of them say.

Though I have always found Nigel Farage very amusing

They're done unfortunately, they'll go down in history as a 50 yr blip. First in 1923 last true labour Government ended in 79 ..Blair had to basically become Tory to win an election. Re: Labour smashed by the Tories in Hartlepool.....

Labour and Blair/Brown basically lied to get into power in 1997 through pretending that they were fiscally responsible, and had learnt the lessons from past Labour mistakes whilst in power. To do this they adopted the Tory spending plans - a kind of trojan horse to get into power. For their first t...

Re: Patrick Bamford

Paddy could easily be on 18 goals, has had two good goals ruled out by VAR that should have been given. Unlike some strikers high on the scorers list he hasn't boosted his total by taking all our penalties (just one I recall). One helluva season first year up especially when you add the chances he ...

Re: The #LUFC Breakfast Debate (Wednesday 5th May) Do Leeds need another striker

Never understood why we operate with one striker in Bamford, the only one capable of scoring goals & playing the role Bielsa expects of him. Had Paddy picked-up a serious injury earlier in the season we were in trouble! Also not having goal scoring game changer on the bench is baffling to say the l...

Re: The #LUFC Breakfast Debate (Wednesday 5th May) Do Leeds need another striker

Of course we do. How can we just rely on Bamford? What happens if he gets injured or loses form or gets tired? Roberts is not good enough. Hopefully we sign Aguero, wanted Cavani in the summer. With 10 goals in his first 15 matches, and then 4 in his next 19 games you could argue that he has alread...

Re: Did the great man Marcelo get it wrong or was it just a bad day at the office?

Slightly disagree with this Smudge. Whilst Costa and JKA did elicit positive comments because of their past both did cause many comments of concern. Much was said about how Wolves fans said quite openly that Costa was one of the most talented players they had had ever but he hadnt been the same pla...

Also much easier to be critical and closer to the mark with the benefit of hindsight Chapel... Well I guess thats a million in savings then :P As I mentioned before Smudge, I was in a minority through being against signing Costa, and just before the season started I also raised concerns about Costa...

Re: Where is our goal threat coming from?

Players such as Harrison, Klich, Costa, Alioski, Poveda and Roberts. I find it hard to see any form of evolution to their game. MB has very limited options to choose from and it shows at times. We clearly do need to bring in a few shrewd and quality signings over the summer. Hopefully one or two of...

Re: Did the great man Marcelo get it wrong or was it just a bad day at the office?

Costa and JKA was not a waste of money at the time , I remember a myriad of favourable comments regarding both... no one can predict the future of a players progression...when it goes wrong you have to accept the situation and recover from it...sadly it takes longer to recover unless you are a big ...

Re: Did the great man Marcelo get it wrong or was it just a bad day at the office?

A poor performance, but the frustration comes from the fact Bielsa never tries anything different, even when nothing is riding on it. We all know Dallas isn't a winger, he still plays him there. Klich was out of breath 5 mins after coming on against Liverpool, he starts and play 90 mins, yet Shackl...
