Re: Aston Villa Thread - Steven Gerrard is the new coach at Villa.
TBH, I’d be delighted if I was a Villa fan. Rangers fans must be spewing.

Re: The #LUFC Breakfast Debate (Thursday 11th November) Will Bielsa be around next season?
Totally agree that last seasons finish was amazing given the squad was a mid table Championship side when MB took over. I always go back to that first game against Stoke when I thought someone had spiked my pre match beer! Couldn’t quite believe what I was seeing. Having said that, I have a feeling ...

Re: Aston Villa Thread - Did Grealish's exit cost Smith his Villa job?
They knew it was coming well in advance. Yes one player can carry a team at times, Raphinha alone has kept us out of the bottom three ( just ), but you are on a slippery slope if you reply on individuals to keep you afloat. Where as we rely on the team ethic, which seems to be getting back to normal...

Re: Please give your reaction
Makes some seemingly strange choices but what manager doesn’t.
Bielsa leaving now would be a disaster. When he does go, I’m sure it will be done with a smooth transition to the next guy, as taking over a Bielsa type playing team cold would be a massive task.

Re: Jack Harrison
Excellent in parts, frustratingly bad in others. If he wasn’t in the 18 first team squad would he get a game? Biggest problem for me is can he get better? He’s had three seasons now and it seems he cannot find long consistent phases. Most people thought he was a great buy after two loan seasons. For...

Re: Leeds Utd v Leicester City Match Thread
Easily to say it but if we had a good striker and a creative midfielder we would be above mid table as things stand, even playing the way we have been. We have two goal scorers, one is injured and the other is not yet trusted/ good enough to do the job full time. On the latter the signs have been en...

Does the 49ers increase in ownership mean more cash to spend?

Re: The #LUFC Breakfast Debate (Saturday 6th November) - 49ers increase share, Rodrigo gets Spain recall but no sign of
Blimey where to start! We definitely miss Bamford’s work rate and pressing. Plus he certainly keeps opposition CB’s guessing with his movement. Now, I might get battered for this but I don’t think he’s the future. He had an outstanding season last year when, IMO, he performed above his natural level...

Re: The #LUFC Breakfast Debate (Friday 5th November) Is a top six prediction realistic next season
Unfortunately we are a selling club to the top six. Ambition and financially wise we cannot compete. If Bielsa goes at the end of the season, wow, what a decision has to be made then! That’s a separate massive subject on it’s own. Personally I’d be tapping up Graham Potter who I think would be a gre...

Re: The #LUFC Breakfast Debate (Friday 5th November) Is a top six prediction realistic next season
Too many sliding doors moments to predict The most important moment is to avoid relegation ( obviously! ) Will Bielsa stay? I’m I the only one who thinks this may be his last season with us? At a minimum we need to keep Meslier and KP. I think Raphinha will be gone come the Summer. The money from Ra...

Re: The #LUFC Breakfast Debate (Thursday 4th November) There is only so long you can hold Struijk back
Struijk has been our most consistent player given his game time. For me he should be partnering Llorente. We need to establish a quality CB pairing and we know Cooper isn’t the future. I am not to sure he needs to be eased into the position, with the number of games he’s had, I think he’s ready now....

Re: Newcastle United Thread
Can’t see the international filthy rich settling for a manager like Eddie Howe who is not known outside these ( Geordie ) shores. They need to persuade a European manager, who on merit, can attract the high profile players. Can’t see any of those wanting in at the moment, as they definitely wouldn’t...

Re: The #LUFC Breakfast Debate (Wednesday 3rd November) - Leeds are at a transitional stage
“Transition period “ = “ we are struggling “ Cooper represents where we are at present. That is, a squad of mainly Championship players that have pushed their skill levels to scarcely believable levels. Unfortunately unless they are at 100%, that level is not enough for the Premiership. Radz and Co ...

Loved Vinnie when he was here in those £60 season ticket years!
He had a tattoo when we were promoted.

Re: Top 6 next year?
We have had 16 less years of investment than the top 6. The amount of money needed is beyond all but the wealthiest of owners. The Geordies now have an opportunity to join the top table. If the club are serious about joining the elite then there must be major investment on the horizon, or is just op...

Re: Bielsa’s “18”
The 18 are locked in though that's the frustration imo. No matter form or reason if you are part of MB's first choice 18 then you will play. If he was more willing to use the kids that would be OK but he himself has said he would rather use his 18 then kids, he only uses the kids when he can't use ...

Re: Bielsa’s “18”
Just referring to your comment "Amazing how many fans don't understand how Bielsa sets up his teams" Well I was perplexed how we set up :duno: I couldn’t work out what set up he was using yesterday. We were only doing a token press, way different to last season. The team didn’t move as on...

Re: Bielsa’s “18”
We are eighth in the form table at the moment. An observation that does not in any way encourage me to think we are well short of last season. One game ago we were 17th. Yesterday’s first half performance was up there with the worst Leeds performance in several seasons. One player is keeping our he...
