This is why I think Villa will only just scrape top ten at best despite the undisputed quality they've brought into their squad to replace Grealish (a net gain overall imo).

Re: I wanna be your DOG

Used to have a pair of dachshunds growing up, really are beautiful dogs.

Can't help but pair up Llorente with a Rhodesian Ridgeback for some reason.

Re: The #LUFC Breakfast Debate (Thursday 12th August) Bielsa putting pen to paper is just a 'formality'

The more players we buy, the further away from the first team our youngsters get. While I would've liked a midfielder (speaking in the past tense when the window's still open for more than 2 more weeks lol) I think we all need to examine our past comments with regard to how much we've wanted to see ...

Hjelde is an absolute unit, when he comes good I think he and Pascal will be the new Ferdinand/Woodgate. Or even better, like Revie's warriors at the back. Kent has shown more of what he's capable of lately and I don't think the interest on our side ever went away. Would rather have him than Dan Jam...

I've revised my post Leon, in the wake of Newcastle's signing of Joe Willock.

Can't bloody wait for the season to get underway so we can start talking about football proper again...

EB does his best but there's only so much you can do with the non-news out there. Appreciate the effort though pal.

Would be lying if I said I wouldn't be at all disappointed if we didn't get in another midfielder but we've got enough to at least hit top ten, and I would be completely fine with that. Maybe another good signing would propel us into Europe too soon?

We do tend to start the season strongly, so if there is a time to catch them with their pants down it's now.

Re: The #LUFC Breakfast Debate (Monday 9th August) - Villarreal test ends in stalemate

Is Raphinha wasted on the wing. Would Leeds be more productive if he played in Hernandez's old role? I think he will be trained up there eventually, we saw him float around seemingly without a fixed position towards the back end of last season. Don't think he'll be there with any regularity however...

Re: The #LUFC Breakfast Debate (Monday 9th August) - Villarreal test ends in stalemate

Decent performance overall against Villareal, with a little more luck in the goal line clearance and a little less bad luck with the Koch handling (snort) and we'd have won convincingly. Not that the result matters of course. :) Kalvin looked glad to be back in his trademark position after his Euro ...

Re: Things to worry about...

Bielsa always leaves it till the last second to sign
Pre season results don't matter
Injuries are just part and parcel, neither looks too serious thankfully

I certainly wouldn't mind a new CM before the window closes however...

I think we can all agree that £100mil is an obscene amount of money, not to mention that Spurs value Kane at £160mil. Things have been utterly bonkers since that Neymar transfer.
