Re: Summer 2022 transfer speculation and squad discussion

Rumour has it that Gerrard has fallen out with Ollie Watkins. What a buy he would be; can play across the front; center, left and right. England international with great hold-up play and pace to burn; scored 11 goals last season (same as Raph). He could play alongside Bamford or instead of him. If G...

Re: Raphinha

I wonder if this is why Radz trailed a possible lawsuit against Barca (if we don’t get our money by September 2nd) to Phil Hay the other day? Hopefully, Barca can't afford the penalty; then we get Raph back and Lewandowski as compensation. That would solve the striker problem that we have. :l...

Re: Jesse Marsch - Leeds fans react to the American influence at ER

My concern with Marsch isn't his nationality; it's the narrow tactics! Wolves had a chat at half-time and started playing diagonals behind our advanced full backs. Marsch changed it when he brought on Summerville to mark Nouri. So; he can and will change tactics when required, unlike MB. He didn't n...

Re: Leeds Utd 2-1 Wolverhampton Wanderers Match Thread

Beginning of the second half Wolves played a lot more diagonals to get in behind our FB's, other teams will have noticed this. Marsch changed tactics with his subs, shows he knows his stuff. I thought Roca was brilliant; yes he struggled with the pace of the game at times (first time in the Premier ...

Re: 2022-23 LUFC Squad

In my opinion we need a proper striker that score goals...not a young talent but a proven talented player... Left back is needed if we plan to loan Leif Davis again... And center mid...idk...feels like we still have space for one more after KP leaves... I agree, we keep looking at Joffy clones. Of ...

Re: Bamba Dieng

New name linked to striker, fake news or not, getting to be a joke now this, should have been No1 priority a striker this season. should have been bought long ago tried and tested. We came into this window needing a couple of CM's, a LB, CF and back-up keeper. Nearly at the start of the new season ...

Re: Summer 2022 transfer speculation and squad discussion

On the striker issue.
I would prefer Terrier to any of the others (Kalimuendo and Dieng look like Joffy clones).
Terrier is a big lad that can put it about and knock a few CB's around; something Bamford doesn't do.

He'll cost about the same as the Belgium lad; so they have the money.

Re: Summer 2022 transfer speculation and squad discussion

It's not so much JM, Andrew, I like him, but more his system and how exposed if potentially leaves us. Particularly out wide. Even against a poor Calgiari side, we were caught out and better Prem teams will punish that. I certainly hope he isn't sacked, as that will mean we're doing ok, and I want ...

Re: Marc Roca - How good was Roco again today?

Wouldn't want him back as a failure who masterminded his own transfer. Harsh ! but true. He's gone, so let's all move on, I support Leeds not Phillips. Roca looks good; hopefully, he can fill the void. I thought Darko played some great passes. Kristensen has done well down under but he may struggle...

Not enough tickets all round!
Any news on the stadium being expanded?
They should be able to put a top tier on the south stand without the 49's getting involved.

Re: Summer 2022 transfer speculation and squad discussion

Bamford is a workaholic but his goals to shots ratio ain't good, he doesn't hold the ball with his back to goal either. However he does run the channels.
We need a good old fashioned center forward with an eye for goal; a Yorkshire Terrier could do the trick!

Re: 2022-23 LUFC Squad

Although Raph is a more complete player than Phillips I think Orta has done a better job at replacing him with Sinisterra. Harrison will still provide a threat from either wing. We're yet to see the best of James. So wingers are looking good with Summerville as back up. Shame about Firpo's injury co...

Re: Elland Road future capacity

60K is doable and if there are a few empty seats it means that all of those that want to can go; what's the point in not letting fans in because there isn't the capacity?

Extra revenue from ticket sales etc.. is a necessity once we have American owners!
