Sargent plays higher in the US system than Aaronson does. When Berhalter announced the roster, he actually listed Aaronson in midfield instead of the forwards/wingers group.

They played a 4-3-3 throughout qualification. Problem for Aaronson is that Berhalter does want width, and you get more of that with Weah and Pulisic, who Aaronson is almost certainly the sub for. English observers might not rate Pulisic all that highly but he's the focus for the USMNT.
