Good to see Calvert-Lewin receiving a top vote, Rat.
He's an absolute beast, works his socks off, unlucky not to have a hattrick last night, one of Dominic's goals stolen off him.
Muharemovic edged it for me, but DCL was brilliant. He is, indeed, an absolute beast.
Very surprised to see Muharemovic not even getting votes from some on here. He bailed Tanaka out in a big way (one of the very few things Tanaka did wrong all evening), had an assist, and was a rock in the defense. He told Newcastle "you'll get nothing and you'll like it."

I'm astonished Tanaka is first or second in so many lists. others made a far more greater contribution.
Don't get me wrong, Ao had a very good game, but MOTM, not for me by a long chalk.
Ao only has to sneeze at ER & our fans sing his name.
He made a couple of glaring errors (one of which, but for Muharemovic's efforts, would have resulted in a goal), but otherwise I think he was outstanding.

Tarik was magnificent once again, certainly saved Tanaka's bacon, a mistake often in his game, apart from that blip & another slack pass, Ao was very good.
Maharemovic's numbers off the scale, outstanding!!!

Some were mesmerised by all the goals we were scoring, Tanaka's was a cracker.
Elvedi was also very sound at the back - 8 defensive headers & 2 clearances.
I don't worry about aerial crosses coming into our box anymore!
Wanted to put Ampadu in but that would have meant leaving Tanaka out of the top 6 altogether and as he was responsible for the opening goal he deserved his place. Those errors though do seem to happen virtually every match.
Stach got one of my votes due to his energy, movement and quality which was evident throughout although it seems not many thought the same.

Without Ampadu or Calvert-Lewin we'd be f--ked as we have no adequate quality cover for them.
Ampadu gets through so much work, he is a top quality midfielder imo!
Remember when Farke left him on the bench in the Birmingham cup-tie, we were in a right old mess without him, Farke had to bring him on at half-time to steady the ship.
Stach was more involved than I first thought at the game last night.
The missed chance was horrible, after he had done all the hard work to get into that position. I thought he had slotted into the corner of the net as did many in the kop.

Yep best signing of the summer was the new contract for Ampadu.
Especially when you think clubs like Man U were splashing £50m on midfield players who are nowhere near as influential.
