Said the same in the other thread, Cjay. I think he could do well there.

Alio actually made a difference playing a bit further forward when he initially came on

Showed so much composure for his goal

I did highlight earlier in the week on another topic Alio is our only likely source of a goal off the bench (apart from Pablo yesterday)

Pleased for your lad :-D

Composure was key yesterday in comparison to against Cardiff. Bamford and Alioski showed great composure for their goals (and Costa for the assist for Bamford) whereas last week we snatched at our chances.

He's loves a goal Alioski. I remember before lockdown i gave him MOTM (can't remember the game) and he was only on the pitch for the last 20m. It was one of those frustrating games in the final third but when he came on he had more shots than any other player on the pitch in that time. He seems a great character to have around.

Gjanni Alioski vs. Aston Villa:

62 touches
28/35 successful passes
9/12 successful final third passes
3 chances created
3 ball recoveries
3 ground duels won
3 crosses
3 times fouled
2 aerial duels won
2 clearances
2 shots
1 on-target
1 big chance created

Huge performance. :strong:

Bearing in mind how little football Ali has played for Leeds of late that was a huge performance from Ali, he started on :fire: from the word go

I was sceptical about his selection when I saw the line-up prior to the game but I shouldn't have had any concerns after that display, great going forward & defended exceptionally well too :supbo:

Bielsa obviously been working on Ali's defensive part of his game

As was I, Leon, felt it was the perfect opportunity for Leif Davis, but Ali was excellent

Love Alioski, his personality, his energy on the field. Love some of his attacking contributions and finishes. One of my favorite Leeds players. But I was starting to think there wasn't much room for him in this squad, and I too would have played Davis ahead of him.

He played brilliantly yesterday. Showed us everything good that he offers and no mistakes. He wasn't really tested at the back and might have been different if they'd had someone like Grealish on the right. There are a lot of right-wingers that would make Alioski struggle. But for yesterday's opposition, he was fantastic. Amd proved that he's still got a lot to offer us in the premier league.

:)

Was immense, always useful going forward but he was defensively superb and frustrated £70mil Pepe so much that Pepe headbutted him!!!!

I bet Ali is a right pain in the arse to mark

Probably licks the back of your neck and all sorts of weird stuff

And Tierney doing the old hold me back  Ali would Tazmanian Devil his scrawny butt.

Ali played really well, between him & Kalvin for my MOTM

Only problem I had with Ali was his final ball

Fantastic energetic performance

Plus because of the sending off Arsenal gave him a free ride defensively Leon.

Me too, I firmly believed if he wasn't good enough to cement a regular place in our championship side how the hell would he cope in the prem

Ali is another one who has improved under Bielsa's coaching, will be interesting to see if our blonde bombshell retains his place for a sustained period

Both him and Pepe recieving racist abuse online.

While I can understand some being angry at his antics playing the race card is just wrong.

Whoever is abusing Ali and Pepe on social media needs to get a grip.

Can bet that if they weren't behind a screen and were face to face they wouldn't say anything to either of them apart from "can i have your autograph".
