Brilliant run and cross from Shackleton, Roofe fires home from inside 6 yd box, such a good cross he couldn’t miss but great positioning.

Shackleton beats the defender, great low cross - Roofe the predator

Marvelous play from Shackleton, and Roofe does what Roofe does best

Has someone stolen Bielsa's bucket? :bear:
I'm going back to 505, I saw them at Sheffield and they were amazing.

HT 1 - 1, finished half strongly but were a shambles for much of first 30.

Shambles is a bit much, we had to adjust to a late loss and it threw everything out. Couple that with Phillips playing poorly and that central defensive area was vulnerable and Swansea exploited that. They look a top 8 team to me playing at home.

Very lucky to be drawing.

Ayling is no cb
Philips deserved to be taken off, brave from Bielsa.

Swansea the better side by a way.

Our pressing looks slow and laboured.

Greatest respect intended but that first half hour was really poor. It reminded me of last season to some extent in that Philips gave the ball away multiple times. As the players look heavy legged, the movement that Bielsa needs for his system wasn't there. Add that to Swansea closing us down really well, we're not able to play that type of game.

Difference is I think this season we'll go in at half time and regroup. Think we'll go and win.

Very interesting first half and this match could be a real indicator of how good we are. If Phillips wasn't carrying an injury then it was a huge decision by Bielsa to take him off so early. This is also a great test for Bielsa to see how he gets us playing second half and whether gameplan B is good enough - admittedly the fact it is 1-1 and we ended the half on top may not see gameplan B.

If Phillips wasn't injured then it will be very interesting to hear what Bielsa gives as his reason for taking him off - he was playing poorly but why was he playing poorly? 3 reasons spring to mind a) he thinks he is better than he is, b) he has responded poorly to the negativity on twitter or c) just having a stinker. Whatever the reason it shows though that Bielsa has faith in people outside the starting XI.

Looking forward to the second half to see what tweaks Bielsa can make to the way we are playing and whether he can also motivate the players to step up against a team that is a good passing team. A good passing team may in fact be harder for us to play against than a more physical outfit (such as Stoke) as they will be more comfortable on the ball and can pass their way out of our presses.

I don't think he's as good as some make out, serviceable but not top drawer in this league. That said the fact he didn't have security blanket Liam Cooper behind was probably the biggest reason he had a poor start to the game, he started off colour on Saturday too but got the chance to improve.
