Album of the moment #2...
I wonder how many appreciate what these great songs bring back to many?

Re: Playlist over the last week......
First two is where it's at, you don't need any more. I have the debut over Communique ..just. I know you think the opposite Sara but Wild West End/Lions ain't on Communique ...

Peeping Tom Peeping Tom on heavy rotation
TLC - Fan Mail. Mainly to see if I'd nominate it for the poll. Great album
Zappa - Sheik Yerbouti

I think the guitar work is better on Communiqué... his tone on Single Handed Sailor is Gilmouresque.
There's still a whiff of a pub band channelling Chet Atkins about them though, and hints of the dullness to come.

Somewhere Out There (O.S.T. An American Tail)
When Will I Be Loved
Heat Wave
Different Drum
"Poor, Poor Pitiful Me"
Tracks Of My Tears
After The Gold Rush
Long Long Time
Just One Look
Heart Is Like A Wheel
Back In The U.S.A.

Great voice & a excellent compilation of Ronstadt's works

Re: Playlist over the last week......
It's missing too much of her best work. I've been a huge Ronstadt fan since the seventies, have all her albums up to Living in the USA except Hand Sown Home Grown and have the triple What's New also, recorded with the Nelson Riddle orchestra.
Work a lot with west coast greats Andrew Gold and Waddy Wachtel
Hasten Down the Wind is my favourite and Karla Bonhoffs Someone to lay down beside me is the pinnacle. That intro piano riff is one of my all time favourites..
Mick Jagger says they wrote it but Ronstadt owned it
