The latter I have on now, that's a cracking version of Willie the Pimp sans Beefheart's vocals and 27 minutes long

Woah. Some serious, heavy listening. I love Flux but this one is immensely hard going.
Saw them reformed back in 2007 supporting Steve Igs and his Crass thing. They were excellent. Really excellent. Full of the same energy they had back in 1982.

It's not one I play very often tbh, but the mood took me there. They were probably my favourite band of that ilk. I play Uncarved Block a lot, which is easier going; I like the Taoist philosophy meets punk righteous anger vibe.

Secondly, I believe in everything and in everything

Together I attempt to navigate my way.........

Uncarved Block is a very underrated record. It's probably the one I listen to most now, although Strive To Survive is the one I'm fondest of.

There was a story from the news recently, can't remember exactly what, think it might have been one of the many sickening examples of ministers' unqualified cronies making shed loads of money from PPE contracts. On the Radcliffe and Maconie show on 6Music that weekend, Maconie commented on the story with the words...."didn't Flux Of Pink Indians name an album after this?" :)
