Woodgate was a brilliant player. As you say Haighy, plagued by injuries, but the 'Nightclub Trial' took a lot out of him as well. He was never the same player after that.

Re: Harry Kewell
very true.
water of a ducks back to bowyer who seemed to revel in it whilst woodgate didnt seem to handle the limelight of the court case and as you say his performances suffered. shame about his injuries certainly would have been an england international for a long time to come.
Re: Harry Kewell
Hands down the best player I've seen in a Leeds shirt. Just a shame he had to throw all that away by being a knob.

See HK has surfaced again at another Div2 team, this time as manager at Oldham.

I'm sure he'll be able to find his own way to the job centre in a few months.Muppet the Cat wrote: ↑Sun Aug 02, 2020 9:28 am See HK has surfaced again at another Div2 team, this time as manager at Oldham.

Harry’s not everyone’s cup of tea, even in Australia, but that is one hell of a highlights reel for a lad in his early 20s. It was a magical time for me with Harry and Dukes, Australia’s top two players ever, both at Leeds.

Great player for us, can't take that away from him, but he remains a c**t

Re: Harry Kewell
Good luck to him. I know his post Leeds career is hard to swallow. But he will always be one of the best players I saw play for Leeds. We would have had him a lot longer if Risdale hadn't fucked everything up.
Re: Harry Kewell
Kewell sacked by Barnet
Harry Kewell has been sacked by National League side Barnet following Saturday's 2-0 defeat at Bromley.
Kewell has totally failed at four lower league clubs, he only lasted seven games this time.
I wouldn't give up the day job if I was him.

Didnt give a toss for the club where he made his name, screwed us on his move to Liddypool then signed for the much despised Galatasaray.

Re: Harry Kewell
One of the most naturally talented football players I’ve ever seen - a talent mainly wasted due to his poor attitude, his arrogance and his lack of application.
Don’t suppose he needs the money but good to hear he’s struggling to hold down a proper job these days. Couldn’t happen to a more deserving man.

Re: Harry Kewell
Karma.
Having chosen to pursue a career in management, it’s great to see him repeatedly fall flat on his face.
Can’t forgive his greed and how he f***ed Leeds over when Liverpool came calling.

Radabe was our best defender of that era, woodgate & ferdinand both learnt from the chief.
