Actress Una Stubbs, who appeared in some of the best-loved shows on British TV from the 1960s to the 2010s, has died at the age of 84.

She found fame in Cliff Richard's 1963 film Summer Holiday before starring in hit sitcom Till Death Us Do Part.

The actress went on to appear in shows like Worzel Gummidge, The Worst Witch, EastEnders and Sherlock.

Her agent paid tribute to her as "a wonderful actress" and "graceful, gracious and kind and constant friend".

After starting her career as a dancer, Stubbs became a fixture on the small screen in the 60s when she played Alf Garnett's exasperated daughter Rita in Till Death Us Do Part and the 1980s follow-ups 'Til Death and In Sickness and In Health.

RIP Der Bomber.
One of the stars of my first World Cup in 1974.
More than a goal a game for West Germany and almost a goal a game for you know who.

Same here Finn, as being only 6 for the 1970 WC I don't really recall that one, but do the '74 one.

Because he had such a low centre of gravity he seemed almost impossible to knock off the ball.

A goal machine........RIP Gerd

Grear player and a real inside the box threat. His low center of gravity and an eye for where to be was incredible. One of the best pure goal scoreres of my time. Oh and an England killer.

RIP

I was also too young for 1970.
I remember wanting Holland in the final, they were great to watch.

I was almost 8 in 1970, so can remember some of the matches. England and Brazil were both fantastic. Nobody believed that save by Banksy

I was there at 74 on a school trip/holiday, we saw:

Brazil v Zaire (Zico, Jairzinho and Rivelino)
Holland v Bulgaria (Neeskens and Rep show) We all had Holland flags and the Dutch supporters were amazed we'd come all that way to support Holland, lots of nice friendly folks.
Holland v Argentina (Cruyff ran them ragged in a torrential rainstorm, we got drowned as no roof and no brollies)

That Holland team was amazing, and to see my hero Cruyff in the flesh was incredible, after I'd watched him win the European Cup twice for Ajax at a young age on the telly, stunningly talented and elegant player and my all time favourite RIP.
