I'm a winter sort as well, but damp feet are the worst.

Undeniably, but... cosy pubs, log fires, clear frosty skies, snow...

I do have some nice solid boots, but sometimes it looks drier than it actually is so I try to get away with it. ;)

Another one of those days here in the east, we've got lucky so far this winter, ice was bad this morning fortunately I didn't have to go out in the car.

As a kid I use to love sledging in the snow, not so keen once I got beyond my adolescence years.

Don't like snow. Especially when it slightly defrosts and turns to ice! Don't like the cold. We don't have any central heating in the cottage, just a log burner in the sitting room and a log burner in the dining room to heat up the whole house (good job Mr Swan is a tree surgeon). It's a bit chilli upstairs on a morning to say the least...

Pity you aren't closer, I have an Oak and a Sycamore that need attention.

Lovely day walking on the beach at Robin Hood's Bay. The light on the sea at this time of year is unique, so beautiful.

My cottage is also reliant on a log burner; can't beat it!
