Peter Crouch

Post by Cjay » Fri Jul 12, 2019 11:20 am

Announced his retirement after a near 20 year career.

I loved Crouchie :)

Really underrated imo.

Big lanky guy but his technique was fantastic.

108 Premier league goals.

42 caps 22 goals for England.

And an all round good egg, one of the nicest footballers.

Ditto all of that Cjay very under rated and comes across really well on TV and the best response ever from a footballer to the question what would you be if you weren’t a footballer

Never seems to take himself too seriously, the sort of bloke you could have a pint with, looks destined for a career in the media.

Can only echo what's already been said. Deceptively good footballer, and a genuine guy. That response from him is gold!!!

His career alone deserves respect and I've always enjoyed both his TV appearances and his articles. An honest sort who always gives a real insight into a modern pro's life but never imposes his opinion on things, never takes sides and always comes across a true gent. Hope that never changes.

A good footballer. Usually when you see a footballer that tall, you think 'he'll be good in the air, but clumsy with the ball at his feet'. Crouch was the opposite.
