Just loved it when he swapped his regular bat for his big hitter, we then knew what was about to happen

Aussies will be boaking over wasting that review in the previous over.

Now the big question is who makes way for Jimmy at OT?

When I say there watching Ben Stokes walk out yesterday little did I beleive he would still be there nearly a day later.

Incredible knock.

Ben Stokes did the unthinkable by all reports.

Woke up this morning to find out the Aussies choked litterally, Tim Paine wasted some stupid reviews earlier on.

Sets up a mouth watering Test at Old Trafford.

Monty Panesar on SSN: "I'd keep the same team for the 4th test and just switch Roy & Denly around."

In my opinion Roy is no test batsmen and needs to be replaced now. Moving down the order would make little difference. A number of his failures have been down to poor technique, an inability to read what might come next and outright rashness. You still have to get in and stay in as a middle order batsmen and Roy just seems to have this reckless incline from a player you who revels in the big hitting, quicker forms of the game. Stokes revels in the one day stuff too, Bairstow does and Root does but they are all well schooled in the test arena and I just don't think Roy can do anything else to help the side now with such a crucial test upon us next with his lack of test experience there for all to see. Likewise I do wonder about Josh Buttler's effectiveness too.

No mention from Monty about replacing Woakes for Anderson (if fit) for Old Trafford. Woakes has done little wrong I admit but you need your No.1 bowler if available. I thought when Woakes didn't really fire at Lord's like he usually does he wasn't quite right. With Smith looking likely to play, Anderson V Smith could be ultimate decider on where the match may be won or lost.

You will remember that day for ever now.

Pundits saying ( and I agree) that Headingley 2019 eclipsed Headingly 1981.

Maybe it will make Yorkshires case for a regular Ashes test now instead if having to bid for it against Trent Bridge, Cardiff and Bristol.

It was a nice score from Denley but he didn't like the short ball so imo he's no opener either. I don't think there's a test player there either. I'd also drop Buttler, bring in 3 new for the next test, four if JA is back for it. Curren really ought to be starting somewhere in this team, he's 21 and already a better cricketer than half of it.

81 for me as a complete test..The players were just better cricketers in the main and 19 was down to one great innings. 81 was one great innings and one of the best bowling performances ever. Not sure fortune played as big a role either.

It's back!

Old Trafford is the venue.
Currently 80/2 with Warner out and ball to Broad ( again)

THAT MAN is currently at the crease along with his replacement from Lords Labuschange.

England drop Woaksey in favour of Overton who may be able to use the conditions well with his extra bounce.

What's the point of trying to play cricket in Lancashire?

They are indeed BG....but....Steve Smith should not be playing. He should have been given a much longer ban for sandpapergate! And so should the other two Warner and Bancroft :x

I'm sure you wont hector

Here goes.....

Three Aussie players were caught cheating in a test match. Steve Smith, David Warner and Bancroft. They had taken sandpaper out on to the field to mess the cricket ball up to give them an advantage over their opponents. It was pre-meditated cheating, blatant. They got caught out by a savvy cameraman and banned for a year???? I think. Should have been longer.....I dont like cheats in sport :x Now he's over here knocking our bowlers all over the place. He's just been caught on 211 runs!
