Norwich spent £1.1m

Have the canaries gone up to the prem just for the parachute payments?

Who did Chelsea sell other than Hazard? Massive gains.

Norwich will probably be hoping that the majority of the squad can step up (feel like they could tbh). Probably have one of the better coaches in the PL.

If they get off to a terrible start it might be difficult to turn round though, even if they invest in Jan. Well run club though.

They also sold Moratta for £56M, and David Luiz for £8M, and had a transfer ban and, therefore, couldn't bring anybody in.

Forgot about Moratta. I guess the Pulisic and Kovacic fee came out in Jan, so that is a bit of a false figure.

Imagine we got promoted, and spent what Norwich have. This forum, and all others would have been unbearable

I'm sure it would be, however the truth is we would need to spend a decent amount on players, you won't getaway without a few quality players in the premiership

Different gravy compared to the championship. I rather us remain in this league if we had no ambition of achieving the highest possible position in the prem

Wonder if they're regretting the lack of investment now?!

At 4-0 down at H-T in their first match I would have to say yes.

4-0 at H/T is the reason promoted championship clubs need to upgrade their squad

A massive difference in class !

I can't believe how naive the Norwich have been

I still think we played better football than the Canaries but they knew how to win games when the pressure was on, we battered them down at Carrow Road, we were careless & sloppy in the return match at ER.

Of course they had Pukki who was on fire throughout the season, he won't get the same freedom or joy in the premiership

Norwich are a yoyo club, the fact that they loaned out so many players ( while Villa released theirs) suggests to me that they expect to demote and then pick up where they left off last season.

Awful defending from Norwich

You could pick holes in every goal plus other opportunities for the scousers

Defenders stood there ball-watching, not picking up their attackers even with men behind the ball, oceans of space as Liverpool players left unmarked.

You can't getaway with that type of defending in the premiership, mind you if you go there & start with a championship defence you are asking for trouble !
