4,500 allocation for Barnsley.....Charlton/Millwall

Post by 1964white » Wed Sep 11, 2019 8:29 pm

And I didn't get a ticket :(

Thankfully I managed to acquire one off another forum last weekend.

Also had the same problem for our away game at Stoke, only a matter of time before I miss out.

In 56 years of supporting Leeds United I've never had a problem obtaining a ticket.

Unbelievable !

Don’t get me going on tickets for away games Leon, going back to our premier league and European days there was never an issue getting tickets you’d simply make the effort and go down to ER and buy one but nowadays it’s fastest finger first as everyone sits there poised on their laptop/device at 10.30 on the day of sale..... no effort required.
Having said that I then went and bought an away ST which I had until 2014 when work circumstances dictated that I stopped going to every away game. This season the only game I’m confident of getting tickets for is Blackburn where we usually get around 7,200.
Can’t understand Barnsley allocating lees than the away end holds (6,000)

100's of fans in the same boat as myself who were there in the dark days travelling to the likes of Cheltenham, Carlisle, Wycombe, Swindon, etc. It was only four years ago when we arrived at Birmingham to be told you can sit anywhere as only 1200 out of the 2500 allocation turned up.

Now Radz/Kinnear have introduced a ticketing system where the johnny come lately's are obtaining tickets ahead of fans who haven't missed a game in 20, 30, 40 years, where's the loyalty there LUFC ?

I regret not purchasing an Away Season Ticket now, attempted to buy one of the 40 available in the summer but as I had missed the QPR cup game unfortunately I didn't qualify.

These new procedures could be the death knell of the various supporters clubs who have taken 1000 of fans to games over the last fifty years. The good people who run them can't afford to take half-empty coaches to games.

Remember the images I posted up of 30+ coaches in a line travelling to an away match on a motorway, well that could be a photo of the past :(

All down to the idiots who support Leeds.

Clubs are penalising our allocation due to damage to toilets/sinks & seats in their stadiums, a problem that's not so prevalent when our away support is around 2,000.

Even though the kick-off time is 12.30pm in an effort to curve the drunken element of our support there'll still be plenty of fans popped up causing trouble, there always is at Oakwell

Can't find the photo I originally posted however here is a clip of our coaches which will go by the wayside if LUFC continue to use the current ticketing procedures

I was on the 4th coach (Ridings) with the Maverick Whites that day, I always travelled with them from around 2006-2014

So have I :) ...............only problem is, it's in the Charlton end :( . When on holiday last summer we met a family of Charlton fans and so he's got us (me and the good lady wife) a couple of tickets. Going down Friday, staying in Greenwich Friday/Sat nights and back to Cardiff Sunday, so a weekend trip really.

Don't know what the stewards are like there about transferring, we'll see :moggy:

Always sit on your hands in away ends, if you are sussed out as Leeds fans you are likely to be ejected or the stewards may transfer you into the Leeds end.

Good luck Cat

In my experience it all depends on the Stewards you get 64.

Some express a 'It's more than job's worth attitude' together with a seeming ha ha hope you get a good kicking overtone (usually the case at Cardiff for example, although they did transfer me the last time, but that's as I had my daughter with me and my shirt on); but at other grounds......I recall Coventry on a couple of occasions when it was basically 'Yeah no problem mate, just walk round'.

It certainly hampers your enjoyment of the game when you have to sit on your hands and stifle your emotions

At one of the games at Cardiff a few years ago I couldn't get transferred across so was sat in with the Cardiff fans (albeit not the Cardiff 'End' as such) when the wife rang and off went the phone in my pocket, with my MOT ringtone at full volume, so I think I was rumbled early doors that day :)

Tickets for Millwall away will initially be allocated via our ‘Away Attendance Tracker’ based on the 2018/19 Season. :-D

After deducting the allocation for our existing Away Season Ticket Holders, tickets will then be allocated to those fans who attended the most away games in the 2018/19 season (From Derby County on Saturday 11th August up to and including the Play-Off semi final on Wednesday 11th May 2019) who have purchased their 2019/20 Home Season Ticket or 2019/20 Membership.

£20 for my ticket :-D
