A 4:35 mile for 26 miles.
For some perspective....
A marathon is roughly 4.2 10-kilometer runs, so Kipchoge kept up about a 29-minute 10K pace for four successive 10K runs.
That's a faster 10K pace than Paavo Nurmi ever ran and about as fast as Emil Zatopek ever ran for a SINGLE 10K.
If you ran four straight world record 10K runs right now, you would finish a marathon only about ten minutes faster than Kipchoge ran. And that's on a flat track, with no hills.
Mind boggling.

that is 2 mins per mile faster than my best marathon (many moons back)
I averaged 6.34 per mile...
however up to 10 miles, I averaged about 5 min miles...
