Both Jazzmatazz albums are magnificent.

Can’t stop listening, thank you. Thing is, I don’t like hip hop or jazz :duno:

Another one I'd forgotten about from this year; Grant Lee Buffalo - Fuzzy.

2003 and I could go several ways here

Kings of Leon's out of nowhere masterwork Youth and Young Manhood, The Postal Service's Give Up is a classic imo. I would go Mars Volta Deloused at the Comatomium but they blew that away with Francis the Mute so can't really nominate that. We have a Strokes album again I see, the band that invented the guitar apparently....

Yeah Yeah Yeahs debut Fever to Tell still gets a lot of "airtime" here, never bettered by them. Then there the sublime soul/funk classic Speakerboxx/The Love Below by Outkast

But I'm going left field (again)

The Rapture 'Echoes' - A dance punk masterpiece

2003 is probably my most difficult year. Best album, for me, is undoubtedly Calexico's Feast Of Wire. It was a time of big changes, personally as well as musically, and this got me through and symbolised new possibilities. It's my favourite and most played album of the last twenty years.

Then there's my favourite Mogwai album, Happy Songs For Happy People, favourite Be Good Tanyas, Chinatown, Gillian Welch's Soul Journey, Martina Topley-Bird's Quixotic, Wovenhand's Blush Music, Warren Zeavon's farewell, The Wind.

I'll think about it...

I'll go with Joss Stone - The Soul Sessions

Also decent albums that I played a lot that year were released by The Darkness, Stereophonics, and Muse.
