Don't get this Sault love in. Tried it several times and it doesn't do anything for me.

Should wrap it up for the Strokes ....

Re: Album of 2020 - Gandi, Mrs 64, Onemore to VOTE
I think they're two incredible pieces of work but one person's sauce......or whatever the phrase is.
I have tried that Strokes album 3 or 4 times because I want to see what other people are seeing (or hearing) but I just don't get it.....it's ditchwater dull for me but........different...err.....Strokes for different folks and all that.......

Ditto, I did try it again the other day this time trying it through a good hi fi versus headphones and loud. I knew it would win the poll thoughDurly wrote: ↑Fri Apr 16, 2021 6:13 pm I think they're two incredible pieces of work but one person's sauce......or whatever the phrase is.

BTW the other half told me to take it off as it was crap...which made me chuckle

Did think maybe the Sault should have been one nomination as it feels like a split double album or triple. Might have split the voteDurly wrote: ↑Fri Apr 16, 2021 6:13 pm I think they're two incredible pieces of work but one person's sauce......or whatever the phrase is.

Apologies for the delay. I hadn't heard, or even heard of, the lion's share of these records. Still have a few left to go. Should have my vote in tomorrow.

Re: Album of 2020 - Onemore to VOTE
I personally thought 2020 was an excellent year, so many albums I enjoyed in the current poll.
The Sault albums were a late godsend for me to go alongside my other favourites album from Nadia Reid/Strokes/Earle, four totally different genres of music.
Perhaps the surprise success was 'Ghosts Of West Virginia' a very fine album from Steve Earle a prolific singer/songwriter over the last five decades.
Unlucky John & thank you for nominating another Earle album to my collection
