This one will not get much traction here, but it's brilliant:

Lucinda Williams "Car Wheels on a Gravel Road"

Her magnum opus.

It is ...cracking version too
Astronomy and Loverman my two favourites off that album though. BOC and Cave respectively.

Beat me to it.

Much as I love the Pixies, Spirit of Eden is one of my all time favourites, so surprised it didn't win.

Tempted by the Beta Band - Three EPs and PJ Harvey - Is This Desire, but it's got to be:

Massive Attack - Mezzanine

Was waiting for Mark's fine solo album to be nominated, thought there was a chance from either Sara or your goodself, I'll nominate my other main choice now.

Lauryn Hill ' ‎The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill'

Surfer Rosa was always favourite to win Sara, I'm happy Spirit Of Eden was a clear 2nd.

Love the top four albums

Gonna go:

Gentleman's Blues by Cracker

Arguably their best record (it's between it and Forever for me). The front end is solid but the back half of the album is outstanding. Completely flew under the radar upon release but I still spin it regularly over 20 years later and it doesn't get old.

NOMINATE NOW

Mansun 'Six' Faaip
Belle and Sebastian ‘Boy With The Arab Strap’ Azkal
Mercury Rev 'Deserter's Songs' Norfolk
Neil Finn 'Try Whistling This' Finn
REM 'Up' Gandi
Eric Clapton 'Pilgrim' Haighy
Jewel 'Spirit' BB
Neutral Milk Hotel 'In the Aeroplane Over the Sea' SG
Metallica 'Garage Inc.' Cat
Mark Hollis - Mark Hollis Durly
Massive Attack 'Mezzanine' Sara
Lauryn Hill ' ‎The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill' 64

I've nominated 'Car Wheels on a Gravel Road' by Lucinda Williams. As I said before, it stands no chance of winning 'round here, but there's no need to eliminate the album before the voting even starts. :) :)

Boards of Canada 'Music Has the Right to Children'

I would estimate I have listened to this one 127 gazillion times...give or take a gazillion.
