Yes, I'm not unfamiliar with them, they just don't do anything for me. Townshend is a painfully poor guitarist - has to be the worst of all the well known players from that era. Clapton bores me to tears, but even he is levels above PT.

I know! I'm not talking about my liking or otherwise for the music they play, just actual basic competence. Townshend is painfully limited, which hasn't stopped other people from sounding great, but he thinks he's a lot better than he is, so he's constantly showing himself up. He makes me cringe, genuinely.

Cracking year though- interestingly what some regard as the best album of all time - What's going on never even got nominated!

DSOTM although not my favourite by Floyd is still the best album on that list, superb production & still sounds great with the headphones on imo!
