A lot of good options for this year but I know I'll always come back to one of my favourite ever albums:
Rainbow 'Rising'
(and deserves a bonus point for a fantastic cover/sleeve !)

Re: Album of 1976 - NOMINATE NOW
Way too many of my favourite albums to get it down to one. TSRTS is a, albeit poorly recorded, masterwork. The Royal Scam is almost perfect. I'd really hate not nominating the Heartbreakers debut or Bostons debut ...Steve Millers wonderful Fly like an Eagle really should make this list. Boz Scaggs Silk Degrees is a classic, Hotel California is the Eagles at their best imo, despite the commercialism. BOC's Agents of Fortune, Zappa's Zoot Allures are tens, Wings over America comes close to pushing TSRTS as best live of the year. George Benson produces the best album of his career in Breezin'. Cooders Chicken Skin Music. Can - Flow Motion. Probably about 20 more I've not researched yet
Rose Royce's Norman Whitfield stunningly produced classic soundtrack from the film Car Wash, second only to Isaac Hayes Shaft in that genre, came real close
But I'll never get a better chance to nominate a truly great voice as this year saw her masterwork. The coming together of a stunning voice and a massively under rated songwriter
Linda Ronstadt 'Hasten Down The Wind'
I expect only my votes to score but it needs to be at least nominated

Breezin' has to be one of the most underrated album, George Benson's best

I'm tempted with Benson's Breezin', George is a better guitarist than all the rock guitar players nominated so far, wonderful music to drive to in the summer
The Royal Scam is another beauty, with give me more votes than Breezin' i think.
Difficult choices!

Sorry mate I should have pm'd you
You obviously missed the abusive language that Sara posted to two of our members which Adam swiftly edited from her posts, had Sara restrained from such language she'd still be here I guess
Apologies as I know you & Sara got on very well & had similar musical tastes!
