Can't disagree on Pixies or NWA, both influenced so much of what followed and brilliant in their own way.

I did a festival and watched Chesney Hawkes because he was in the bar, actually he was decent, took the mick out of himself too, seemed a decent fella.NorfolkWhite wrote: ↑Tue Aug 04, 2020 3:46 pm Going to 'fess up here - I've seen him live Some 80's Reload festival - The Beat and Boomtown Rats were on the bill as well - which is why I went........honest.

Rick Astley was ok too actually, pretty self-deprecating, a few women still throwing knickers - he just joked that they are bigger than they used to be

1988 Probably my last good year...
Queensryche Operation Mindcrime
REM Green
U2 Rattle and Hum
Magnum Wings of Heaven
Marillion The Thieving Magpie
Are my faves but it has to be Queensryche as my choice.

Good album Ian.
Superb live band, as to be one of the best live voices I've heard.

I was introduced to them when I saw them perform Operation Mindcrime. I was blown away.
And I agree Geoff Tate has a great voice.
In fact he is scheduled to be playing a local venue in a few weeks, though I am unsure how that can go ahead at the minute

2 days for Haighy, Kindest & Paddy to NOMINATE
This nomination stage has been running for over a week now, unfair to keep our regular players waiting
I shall commence this poll on Thursday morning
