I'll nominate: The Heavy Horses - Murder Ballads & Other Love Songs
I've stumbled into, and got hooked onto, Dark Country lately, and this album's a great example of the genre. If you don't want to listen to the full LP, I would recommend listening to track 2, Anyone Can Tell, which I've been playing non-stop for the last month
