Rising Damp
Just watching an episode of 'Rising Damp' on ITV 3
Brilliant.....Rossiter at his best!
The Rigsby/Miss Jones scenes are a delight
A comedy series that always makes me laugh

Re: Rising Damp
Fantastic comedy of its time which I still find funny today. Have you ever seen the film? One of my favourite lines is where Alan the new lodger asks while he’s viewing the room “ isn’t that damp coming down the walls” to which Rigsby replies “ what do you expect , champagne”

Rossiter at his best is Rise and Fall in my opinion ...

Re: Rising Damp
I seem to remember Rigsby mentions Leeds United in one episode of Rising Damp but I can never remember which one or why I'm afraid. Might even be the film version but I'm sure it's one of the series episodes. Was Leonard a Leeds fan perhaps? He was born in Liverpool though.

Another Perrin fan here. It still gets quoted regularly. In fact, I didn't get where I am today without quoting Reggie Perrin.

Rigsby may have well sung 'we are champions, champions of Europe'
