The Depression Topic
Apologies for sounding somewhat heavy!
Jill was chatting with one our friends this morning, a lady who lost her husband last year so she is on her own. Her son, daughter & grandchildren are not allowed to visit her due to the current circumstances. V is quite a strong lady however she admitted to having a very emotional tearful day yesterday.
Some of my clients live on their own & welcome seeing a friendly face, one of them suffers with depression so he is vulnerable in this horrible crisis
Depression is a serious illness & people suffering with this type of illness shouldn't be mocked, they generally need help & reassurance through communication.
Anyway the whole point of this post/topic is:
Should any of members feel depressed or down with the current circumstances
You are not on your own
So if you are feeling down, you have you're MOT pals to rely on whom I'm pretty sure would be glad to help if need be!
Don't bottle you're feelings up, please talk with your friends on here

Re: The Depression Topic
Great post and I think most of us will be becoming depressed to varying levels. The boredom of life caused by isolation and little in the way of distractions (football, socialising etc). Even going out shopping is an unpleasant experience, nobody saying hello or exchanging pleasantries and simply wanting to get out of the germ factory as quickly as possible. The govt has forced this upon us and the ramifications and potential deaths (suicide because of depression or financial ruin etc) will be far greater than if they had acted sensibly and just isolated the vulnerable and allowed the rest of society to carry on as normal.
Re: The Depression Topic
Thanks Weasel
Just think we have to get the message across to anyone who feels vulnerable we are here for them
Talking is good.....silence can be damaging!

Re: The Depression Topic
Last week not as bad for everyone, blue skies, nice weather and as such people with gardens could actually sit in the garden and enjoy their enforced holiday. This week grey skies, cold miserable weather, stuck indoors, boredom increasing, partners getting on each others nerves, parents running out of ideas to entertain the kids - can see suicides, domestic abuse and potentially even murders going up this week.
