Robin Koch

Post by Cjay »

Our next main target.

Full German international (and current as he is in the latest squad).

24 year old 6ft 3 cb and dm who has also played in cm

Was a regular for Freiburg who finished 8th in the Bundesliga playing 32 out of 34 league matches.

Has played over 20 league games in all of his 3 seasons with Freiburg in the Bundesliga and has over 80 in total and over 150 career games to his name.

2 German caps and in the latest squad.

Came close to joining Leipzig in January and has many admirers including Spurs.

Price seems to range from the absolute bargain of £10mil to the not to bad fee of £20mil.

No guarantees we can get him but for a newly promoted side to sign the main striker for Spain (ranked 8th in the world) and the latest highly rated German cb, that would be a great statement.

Ben who? Get him signed up. :)

Seriously, it's a shame that Brighton are being pissy about Ben but this guy looks like the best replacement we could hope for, and Mr Orta feels confident we might get him. I can't wait to see him holding the Leeds jersey up.

What’s all this talk of a Ben? Didn’t realise we were linked with anyone called Ben...

This Robin Koch looks good though

Snap him up. It's the biggest position we need to fill. Talk of Callum Chambers today too. Let's do both - Chambers has good versatility, DC, DMC, RB.
We've been through it all together. And we've had our ups and downs

Up with the Koch!

See? Doesn't have to be rude.

I think Koch and Rodrigo would be the bare minimum for me to be happy this window. Much more interested in seeing Koch confirmed before Kent.

Also, potential situation: we stay up this season, Brighton goes down and White forces a move for dirt cheap. Koch + White = new Woodgate + Ferdinand. Relatively speaking.

Just wondering how good Luis Felipe must be if we're willing to pay £27-£34m for him when Koch is available at £10-20m.

And Koch is viewed as an upgrade on Ben White.

Are we getting carried away?

This is one transfer I would love to see done asap. He looks a quality player capable of contributing further up the field as well as at CB, with his mobility and passing skills. Great top level experience in the Bundesliga and already capped by Germany - you couldn’t make it up if that CV landed on your desk. No distractions now, just get this done, please!!

Imagine Felipe & Koch at the back with Rodrigo up top playing for Leeds, this is a whole different ball game, mind boggling stuff who'd have thought it?

From what I can find Dave, definately not paying over the odds, given what we were prepared to part with for Ben... And completely agree 64 ... what a picture you paint there ... :scarfe2: :scarfe2: :scarfe2: :scarfe2: :scarfe2: :scarfe2: :scarfe2:

Almost certainly either/or and not both. Who'd be happier with Koch?
Rod Stewart and Ron Wood look like somebody ordered the same rock star in two different colours.

Certainly a good signing. If we can snag Felipe too then I'd consider us well equipped for the season ahead.

Impressive resume. More good work by the Club.

I would - both appear to be the dogs cajones but Koch is cheaper.

I'd been saving that one up. :)

Let us not forget with all these deals, it's Radrizzani's arse that is on the line, so Orta had better pull his finger out! cos we don't want a Koch up like JKA.
