I thought Costa made some great runs but his final execution just lacked a little bit. I should probably give him +1 for the amount of time he covered at RB with Ayling going inside

I think Meslier was excellent today, and you couldn’t have told which CB was the German international - both Koch and Struijk did great in the circumstances.

I’ve had my CB fears allayed, good things are promised this year looking at this performance.

Meslier-7
Ayling-8
Koch -7
Stujik-7
Dallas 7
Phillips-7
Klich-9
Pablo-6
Costa -6
Harrison - 8
Bamford-7

Roberts 7
Rodrigo 5
Shackleton 6

We showed we can compete at this level, Koch looked like a steal at the price we got him, Ayling really played well, funny considering we conceded 4.
How much would Klich cost us if we were to buy him now?

Meslier - 7 he makes me nervous, but little wrong today.
Ayling - 6.5 Great intent but was an almost game for him, so much almost worked.
Dallas - 7 Only one game, but not sure we need a new left back.
Koch -5.5 Not had time to unpack his pants yet, so not gonna judge
Strujik - 5 Weak link in defence, may sound harsh but he made too many mistakes for me
Phillips - 7 Grew into game, be very surprised if we dont get HUGE offers before the window shuts
Klich - 7.5 best goal of the game, again grew into gamne,
Hernandez - 6 no spark today.
Harrison - 7 tireless, who says we need a new winger?
Costa - 7 Looks so much better when he is not man marked, again, who says we need a new winger?
Bamford - 7 Much like Costa, looks a differnt prospect when teams don't park the bus, proper strikers goal too.
Every game I predict a 3 - 1 Leeds win, I am traditional like that.

Meslier - 8
Ayling - 8
Dallas - 6
Koch - 5/7.5 (Five for the first 15 minutes, 7.5 for everything thereafter. He grew into the game. I think I'm going to like this guy.)
Strujik - 7.5
Phillips - 7
Klich - 9
Hernandez - 7
Harrison - 8
Costa - 7
Bamford - 8

Rodrigo - 5
Roberts - 6
Shackleton - 6

Roberts and Shackleton both looked as though they could keep up with the big boys. Encouraged by what I saw from them in the few minutes they had.

Very harsh, lost count of the times he was in the right place at the right time, gently maneuvering forwards off the ball, some sublime low key defence from him imo, tackled very well..

he did well enough from the positions he was in, but got himself into the wrong positions. I feel he needs more games, but not sure we can afford to give them to him.

Still buzzing, just watched MOTD highlights what a game, as the commentator said could easily be one of the greatest ever Premier League game

Difficult to score what a performance so here we go,

Meslier - 8 - gonna be our keeper for years and will end up a legend
Ayling - 8 - in both my dream teams he is gonna be different class this year
Dallas - 7 - steady game
Koch - 6 - never a penalty and if that had been VVD wouldn’t have been given
Strujik - 6 - difficult start but will get better
Phillips - 9 - awesome please take note England this is how to play Kalvin
Klich - 9 - and we nearly let him go
Hernandez - 7 - one of his quieter games
Harrison - 8 - becoming the player
Costa - 7 - best game so far in a Leeds shirt
Bamford - 7 - can’t believe I’m saying this, excellent all game

Rodrigo - 4 never in the game but a bloody soft penalty again I don’t think we’d have got it
Roberts - 6 - please don’t report injured this week
Shackleton - Not on long enough to get involved
A bumble bee under the laws of physics shouldnt be able to fly, but it does because no one has told it that it can't

Meslier - 7 - not much he could do with the goals, except maybe the first penalty. Made a couple of good saves and looked very comfortable with the ball at his feet
Ayling - 7 - not able to be as gung ho as normal but still put in his usual high level
Dallas - 7 - same as Ayling
Koch - 7 - no blame for me for the penalty, it was a great block with his leg and short of amputeeing his arms there was nothing he could do to stop the ball deflecting up onto his arm, VVD header he was cleverly blocked in a set piece routine that Liverpool had no doubt been practising. Put that behind him and steadily grew into the game, didn't panic on the ball and will be a good signing
Strujik - 7 - Like Koch grew into the game and they were both better in the second half as some understanding started to grow. Would prefer Cooper and Koch but he looks capable of stepping in when needed and putting pressure on both of them.
Phillips - 7 - A tricky game for KP with the international matches doing him no favours. At times we looked extremely vulnerable through the centre of the pitch but that was probably due more to how quickly Liverpool break. His passing was good, as always.
Klich - 7.5 - Another that didn't look out of place, like the whole team, and was tidily efficient, great run between defenders to get into position for Costa's pass and superbly taken goal. More of those please.
Hernandez - 6.5 - By his high standards a quieter game but not at all worried about his ability to pull the strings int he premier league.
Harrison - 7.5 - Great strength and pace for his goal and a good finish too. If he carries on with the improvement that he showed from season 1 to 2 then he could have a great year and get into double figures for goals.
Costa - 7 - Getting better and better in a Leeds shirt as evidenced by his form after lockdown. Great pass for Klich's goal
Bamford - 7 - His usual self defending from the front being a nuisance and got into some excellent positions. Took his goal well and was unfortunate that the earlier chance fell to his right foot which he doesn't seem to trust. Think we missed him defensively after he went off and for me I'd be looking to bring Rodrigo on more in the number 10 role than as a direct swap for Bamford
Rodrigo - 5 Didn't even really notice him being on the pitch apart from when he celebrated when we scored and him giving away the penalty. Hopefully he gets a start midweek as hard really to get into a game as a subtsitute when it is being played at such a speed.
Roberts - 6 - Similar to Rodrigo I didn't really notice him much
Shackleton 6 - I wouldn't have taken Klich off as I feel we lost a lot of experience with Pablo, Bamford and Klich all being taken off. We probably needed a wiser head remaining on the pitch. Like the other 2 subs didn't really notice him.
