Re: Diego Llorente
How important is Diego to us gaining another top ten finish this season?
First clean sheet this season & a striker's finish for his goal

Re: Diego Llorente
If he stays fit, he’s going to be instrumental to our season and finishing higher up the table.

Re: Diego Llorente
That was my worry mc. That he went off on international duty ang got crocked again. He'll have had two weeks between games to keep himself in shape and (hopefully ) fit by the time our next game comes roundmentalcase wrote: ↑Wed Oct 06, 2021 7:31 pm If he stays fit, he’s going to be instrumental to our season and finishing higher up the table.

Re: Diego Llorente
Yeah, of course the support is influential.
Llorente shows great leadership qualities. I loved the way that he was chiming away at the ref all night, well done
It was important that Llorente, Cooper and the rest of them surrounded the ref for the penalty appeal. We have not been doing this for a long time, and other teams and coaches take advantage of it.
Refs and VAR are humans making decisions and they can be influenced if you put pressure on them.
Enough with the chivalrous bollocks, cos nobody else does it.

Agree mate, we need to claim for anything that is fair rather than take things on the chinWhite Riot wrote: ↑Thu Dec 02, 2021 9:50 am Yeah, of course the support is influential.

Re: Diego Llorente
Look when Harvey Elliott got his ankle broken and dislocated.
The ref waved play on and Salah was the one to get medical attention on. But I don't recall the Liverpool players asking for Struijk to be dismissed.
Klopp did though and it worked. Our coach is never gonna do that and that's why these teams and coaches take advantage.
Re: Diego Llorente recognises our fans influential impact.
Did anyone who went to the game sense a completely different ending on the terraces if it finishes 0-0? The rest is history. TBF i think in the last few games we have rode our luck a little in terms of poor finishing from the opposition. We maybe should have kept it in reserve for the run of fixtures coming up after Brentford.
Re: Diego Llorente recognises our fans influential impact.
We've become a soft touch and need to start stirring the shite as and when it's necessary. You see it every game players trying to get others booked...it's almost like it takes priority over staying on your feet and heading for goal. Do unto others and all that.

Re: Diego Llorente
I thought he had a decent game, but I see the forum knives are out for him ....

Re: Diego Llorente
At fault again.
Bullied to easily.
Clearly a talented technical player but it isn't the first time he has been bullied physically.
Is it time to ask questions regarding him now?
He gets bullied quite often, starting to wonder if he has the physical capabilities for this league.

Re: Diego Llorente
Redknapp ;
“This is their first goal from a corner in 139 attempts so they’re doing a lap of honour around there at the moment,” said Redknapp on Sky Sports Premier League at half-time on Sunday.
“If you’re going to score a goal from a set-piece against any team, you just always think it’ll be Leeds.
“Llorente ends up not watching the ball, it’s poor defending.
“Look at him, his positional sense is all wrong, he tries to get a grip of Harry Maguire to try and compete with him.
“He doesn’t even jump to win it but it’s a good header from Harry’s point of view.”

Re: Diego Llorente
If you look at it again, Llorente only jumped after Maguire had already headed the ball...Cjay wrote: ↑Sun Feb 20, 2022 5:23 pm At fault again.

I would like to see Llorente dropped for good now - he has a lot to do with the defensive issues, and in particular conceding from set pieces.
