I think he's better than Beckford and he did ok in the prem. Plus the prem isn't as physical which could suit.

The Belgian league is like the Dutch or Portuguese league. You get the big clubs at the top who dominate, Anderlecht, Liege, Brugge, Gent, Genk, and the rest are lower Champ/League 1 size.
I promise to be positive only for 20/21 :)

Sorry to see Kemar go, good player at this level and looked a perfect fit for Bielsa's system. But it does seem a good deal for all involved (on the basis that he is replaced) and I wish him well.

I think it's a brilliant piece of business (Roofe deal) if someone like Gayle comes in, Gayle is proven year after year in this League.

I think Roofe has gone as far as he can go in the English Leagues but he will never be a Premiership player as he he would of been snapped up by now, look at Chris Wood who was prolific for us has only scored 10 goals in 38 appearances for Burnley last Season. Just like Gayle, Billy Sharp, Vydra they are great Championship players but Premier League is a different kettle of fish.

In saying all that I do wish Roofe the very best and thank him for the fantastic memories and joy his given me.

Kemar Roofe

Post by BobHirst »

I saw that Rangers won 5-1 today. I looked to see if Roofe was among the goals.
Roofe has a calf injury which will keep him sidelined until after the next international break!
Although he was a good player I think we made the correct decision in letting him go.

I think he would have been a key player for us in the championship last year if we'd kept him around. Would struggle to get in the squad this year
We've been through it all together. And we've had our ups and downs

Take a look at this clip ;

This is the kind of finishing we could do with - we should sign him up. Oh wait, he used to play for us didn't he ??

Oh I see what has occurred....

Chapel has started another Kemar Roofe thread when there is already one further down the page where I first mentioned Roofe's goal last night minutes after it happened.

Will merge with Roofe's original page going back to 2017

Apparently he was booked for overcelebrating which then sparked a brawl after FT.

Good old officials out to spoil the fun.

Yes the SL players & their coaches got involved, it seemed like one of their fans was amongst them in the scuffle too!
