Can be either/or, it's quite complex. What probably won't be mentioned is if there's a price included for us to remove the clause if Bayern agree later down the line. They're probably just playing it safe for now but maybe won't ever have the need to exercise the buyback - if that's the case they can make a bit of extra money from us by allowing us to remove the clause completely for a fee.

Looking at many recent examples it seems to be a pretty standard thing between big clubs for players his age, but not really invoked all that often. Unless you're Southampton.

To actually answer the question, it's usually agreed by both clubs, and usually a fee that's quite close to the initial purchase price but rises with each transfer window.

It's usually a figure negotiated by both clubs. Bayern wanting a low figure, Leeds a higher one, then they meet somewhere in the middle.

Reports in Germany saying £60m. Wow, if he ends up being that good, what a coup this is!

If this comes off........

Pablo, Klich, Rodrigo, and Cuisance all fighting for time in the midfield.

A very healthy competition, indeed.

Clubs like Bayern have so much power and always get their own way. If this is what we need to get him in, then so be it.

Imagine if they try to buy him back in January

For £60m? I bloody hope they do!

We can just drop £35 mil on Udinese's desk for RDP like it's no big thing.

Cant ignore the attitude issues after the JKA debacle, Cruisance has well documented attitude problems same as JKA did and that is a concern.

However, JKA's issues seemed to be he was well a bit lazy and didnt make the full use of his natural gifts. Cuisance seems to fully believe in his gifts and deems himself worthy of more football.

For this imo its similar to Ian Poveda who wasnt happy with his role at City and wanted to prove himself.

This will go one of two ways.

Either Bielsa gets through to him in a footballing way similar to how he did with Payet (who had his own attitude issues) and it works out wonderfully.

Or Bielsa gets annoyed and we have another very expensive flop.

Hope for the former.
Signed

I wouldn't worry about a buy back, give him 18 months playing ruthlessly attacking footbal and getting into European contention and Erling Haaland making sounds to join the force he will tell Bayern to go f**k themselves
That's one think i like about the French they know how to carry a grudge

Premature ejaculation perhaps but i have a feeling this one is a big upgrade and i like the way they are thinking

You see Utd making a show over Jadon Sancho and this kid will slip in under the radar and prove a very astute piece of business

Energetic box to box type. I see him in direct competition with Klich rather than Pablo. I think Rodrigo may develop along side Pablo. Another player signed you would hope with assurances that Marcelo will be here at Leeds for at least another 2 seasons.

That's if he gets on with him? Lets see how long it takes him to get upto Bielsaball. As the saucy old ladies from Harry Enfield would say. Welcome Young Man!

Quality players such as Kock, Rodrigo, Llorente & Cuisance will adapt quickly to Bielsa-ball as oppose to the signings we were making in the championship

What's with all this transfer business being done early - going to ruin the "don't go to bed yet" deadline day tweets......what's going on Victor you need to get a grip.
