Our most important player...

Post by Fridge »

Saw this one on Facebook earlier and I was interested to hear some thoughts, so:

Who do you think is the most important player in our squad?

Do I need to say? See avatar
Rod Stewart and Ron Wood look like somebody ordered the same rock star in two different colours.

The fact that that question is difficult to get your head round highlights everything about our squad - side before self, team rather than individual.

Interesting.

Couldn’t agree more, the team is all about the whole unit.

Look how far we’ve come, eh?

Bielsa’s teams rely on the whole, not the individual sum of its parts. But I do think Klich is a wonderful player.

The most important man is the one that's sits on a bucket

Was waiting for this one!

Understatement of the century 64! Still pinching myself to make sure that I don’t take the man for granted

Exactly, we would be a mid table championship side without Bielsa, I cannot praise him enough

100% correct!

He started it, and continues to build a team full of important players, but one that won’t fall down for the loss of any one of them - now that’s how you build a great team. Genius!

Agree with many of the previous comments, but if pressed on one particular player, I would also say Klich. Absolute machine.

I'm so happy we've signed another box-to-box player in Cuisance in case we lose Klich to injury or suspension this season.

It's definitely a squad thing. It's how well we work together as a unit. I would say that the hardest position we ever have to replace is Phillips.
We've been through it all together. And we've had our ups and downs

There is no "most important" player on this team.

And that's all down to Bielsa. I wouldn't trade him for anyone.

Yeah I totally agree it is a squad thing..I dont think we have a most important player, when everyone is fit. The team as a whole works so well..

But a better way to ask the question would be to ask who we miss the most when not fit..and this is Phillip's.. imo

Marcelo won't be at Leeds forever, we have to treasure the time Bielsa is at the helm

I'm dreading the day he calls it a day at ER
