Apparently the six English clubs paid £8 million each to sign up to the ESL.

Now there's an idea. Great scam by by JP Morgan to make a quick 48 million. Knowing that it wouldn't go ahead. I wish i'd thought of that.

Magnanimity in victory.
Unless punished, they will definitely do it again.

One of the most striking revelations was that this was 3 years in the making. 3 years of plotting while attending meetings with TV companies, with football authorities, never revealing their hand. They'll have another crack when they think the time is right. They have not become charitable overnight and developed warm and fuzzy feelings about sharing the pot with other clubs. These are businessmen, making money is their goal, they have not become different people, they simply realised that it should be shelved for now as that makes business sense. If they are hammered, they'll know the risks when they move again.

There must be some sort of punishment. They acted totally in their own interest and against the interest of the game as a whole and the competitions they currently play in.

So all six paid 8 mill, so they should get fined at least that each, but no doubt as Leeds were not involved they will not get any fine or points deducted

Everybody has been concentrating on the super league and they have completely missed out on what is happening with the champions league and what they have got away with.

The new champions league FEATURES are similar to the super league and nobody has said anything about it. Inclusion of the big teams without Merit

Interesting. Tottenham Hotspur Stadium will mark itself as a pop up vaccination clinic venue tomorrow.

Get your jab before they change their minds.

It's a disgrace.

But even then - for the greedy twelve it wasn't enough. They wanted even more.

This EPL thing was apparently three years in planning , so then what was the thing the same few clubs came up with last year , big picture or something was it ? I originally thought as they hadn't got their way with that , this was their solution , but no........it seems they want their cake and everyone else's . Just glad really Leeds weren't involved or in a position to be involved etc . A lot of clubs taking moral high ground (Everton etc ) , but you don't know what they would do given the opportunity . They are right in that football does need to be better organised , but so that the wealth is a bit more evenly distributed and you don't get a Bury again . Maybe even like Spain where clubs b sides play in lower divisions , may attract better crowds to those sides now and again .

So it would appear action is to be taken...IMO the money raised from the fines should be distributed amongst the clubs from the Championship down...and done fairly, the most needy being at the top of list...

The super six deserve more than just a fine.

Good news for the smaller clubs.

If we can get fined for standing on a footpath based on a vague rule about fair play then the snakey 6 should get absolutely hammered..

If its a fine it must be well in the tens of millions each, not 1.or 2mil but 30, 40, 50mil a substantial number to be paid immediately.

If the authorities bottle this then they lose all authority
