I always thought Ben White would end up at Liverpool or Citeh

Can see the scousers offering huge money to Brighton for Ben in the January transfer window now

It'd have to be huge money since he's just signed a new contract. He'd be a better shout than Gomez and Matip even when Van Dijk's fit again.

Sad to see players injured.

But I am truly puzzled how Pickford remained unpunished for his challenge.

The whole Pickford wasnt sent off because Van Dijk was offside is quite a dangerous precedent to set surely?

Say Raul Jimenez is through on goal and is clearly offside tonight.

Whats to stop Meslier clattering him just to try and get him off for the game?

Not saying players will want to seriously injur each other but to take a key opponents player out for the rest of a match they may.

Leave a bit extra on because they know they can get away with it

like i said in another thread.

serious foul play is not dependant on the whistle. A player can be sent off whether in live play or not

What did we say with regards to Ben White's future

"Brighton are likely to demand at least £50m for centre-back Ben White if Liverpool seek to replace injured Netherlands defender Virgil van Dijk, 29, with the 23-year-old English defender in January"

Rumour mill at it already however this deal is a distinct possibility

Gonna be at least £60m I reckon, Brighton will have the clear upper hand in that negotiation.

Completely different type of players. Liverpool will be looking for someone dominant in the air, which is probably White's worst feature. Brighton fans already moaning that they wished they had kept Duffy.

White is playing nothing like he did last season under Bielsa... And he is playing in a team that would allow him to shine , where as we are a team that is definately team orientated as opposed to relying on 2 or 3 stand outs ergo much harder to stand out as an individual within our set up.
