Injury Update

Phil Hay has given an injury update ahead of Sundays clash against Arsenal. Kalvin Phillips has responded well to treatment 'and has a chance of playing on Sunday'. Diego Llorente has shaken off his ankle injury, though there is a good chance that Bielsa may want the 27 year old to feature for the academy team before.

The same goes for Adam Forshaw. Believe it or not, but the central midfielder has overcome his injury problems and has been working towards his fitness. Expect to him for the U23's! Rodrigo has overcome the Corona virus and has been given the all clear twice. Lets hope he starts, because we have missed him! It will be interesting to see whether Hernandez and Bielsa have patched things up, for the greater good of the club!





Alioski in talks over new deal

Ezgjan Alioski is in talks with the Leeds hierarchy over a new deal. The versatile 28yo is approaching the last eight months of his contract, and Leeds are keen to keep the North Macedonian at Elland Road!

It is believed that the club will be offering Alioski a three year contract. Thoughts?





Leeds monitoring Ibrox Manager

It may just be lazy journalism, but several reports today suggest that Leeds are monitoring Steven Gerrard's situation at Ibrox. The former Liverpool legend has taken to Management like a duck to water, and currently leads the Scottish Premiership by nine points from their bitter rivals Celtic.

Hypothetically, would the lure of the Premiership be too big for Gerrard to turn down? Would Leeds fans like to see the former England International on the Elland Road hot seat?

I can't see Llorente being considered until he's had at least one game for the U23's.
It will be good to have the others back though.
And Raphinha needs to be given a start.

I think Alioski will only ever be on the fringes of the team from now on so it all depends if he's happy accept that when discussing a new deal.

Unfortunately it would be too soon & a massive risk to include Llorente.

We have to be less sentimental & getaway from playing our championship side, no disrespect to the players who contributed greatly to achieving promotion but the premier league is a different level so we need to play our quality players

The first XI I'd be hoping for is.......

Phillips and Rodrigo back for Arsenal would be excellent (and essential to give us any chance), and Pablo on the bench for the last half hour to turn things round if needs be.

Bielsa wouldn’t be able to guarantee Alioski 1st team football from here on in but he would be useful as back up perhaps for a year or so. After that, if all goes to plan, he may not even make the bench, But for his excellent service and attitude and his irrepressibly optimistic character, I would say he’s worth a contract extension if only, eventually, to keep the dressing room amused.

I wouldn’t want to speculate on a new Manager until it’s absolutely necessary but Gerrard does seem to have done the business so far in Scotland. I don’t know what style of football he’s got Rangers playing but it would be great if after the Maestro goes we could continue with something akin to Bielsaball.

So nice to get positive news on the injury front. If Forshaw really does return to form he could be a factor this season if Phillips' return from injury doesn't go smoothly.

Like your 11 64 but I would put Jack on the left (though I do think starting on the bench a few games would do him some good and might clear his head) and Raph on right with Pablo subbing on for Rodrigo or vice/versa.

I love Alio and would re-sign him in a heartbeat but like Chilli said he has to be happy accept Berardi-type minutes going forward.

Stevie Gerrard ( try not saying that with a scouser accent) is Liverpools manager in waiting. If he came to us expect him to leave when that job came up.

Don't think Ali should get a new deal, he isnt consistent enough for this league.While we always be grateful to him for his contribution so far we need to upgrade our squad.

KP and Rod returning would be a massive boost.

Injury news ...all good for a change, sounds pretty unaminous, cannot play Llorente without at least one start in the U23's.

Why is that even a discussion point about Gerrard?... pot stirring by lazy reporters.

Alos like your 11 Leon, agree with Llorente with Koch when fit, have to give that partnership a real try out. I would prefer the wingers to be reversed though Raph on the right, and I would probably start Jack on the left to have Pablo as big time back up... Loving Rodrigo behind Paddy...

Alio might be a better left wing back than Dallas at the end of the day, think his coverage is better and his tackling and positioning is also improving. Certainly worth another three yrs.
