What pursuits/things have you missed in 2020?
It's been a surreal year!
So what have you missed?
So what have you missed?

The worst was that period without football.
Overall the worst part has been not being able to get down to the games.

I couldn't get to games anyway so have not missed any football activity.1964white wrote:

Where I live is relatively rural and we don't have any restrictions, so we've missed nothing much tbh.
For shopping, we still go to the store as normal and only wear masks in Walmart if they can be bothered to enforce it - most times no-one wears masks and the infection rate is so low that nobody worries about it and I think that's a healthy attitude.
We have a group of friends with whom we get together and have 'Funday Monday' and go to each others houses in rotation weekly to play poker.
The local VFW has no restrictions and doesn't have a mask mandate - not that I believe in masks anyway because if we're with other people we're all breathing the same air whether we wear masks or not. So, missing nothing really.

Odd as it sounds I miss going to work, to work.
Not a massive fan of working from home. The balance of ‘working from home’ can very easily tip to ‘living at work’ if you’re not careful.
You miss the interaction with colleagues and friends etc etc.....there are some benefits with those with child care considerations for example, but sorry not for me

Our February holiday to the "Empress Hotel' in Victoria BC;
Monthly dinner parties with our friends;
The big one...This year our daughter and her family could not come from Ireland for the summer holidays due to travel restrictions, missed her the son in law and especially the 3 Grand kids... was hoping to switch it to a Christmas reunion but sadly the plaque put paid to that also;
As Hector said in another post ...Glad the Ferkin year is almost over... Fingers crossed next year may bring some more cheer for all of us...

I can relate to that Hector, outside of cycling and the occasional pub visit, I prefer my own space,
Also living alone I can do what ever I want when I want, when the cats out

It's kinda tough for folks that like to socialise a lot , but at least when we go back to normal, you will appreciate these things more...1964white wrote: ↑Thu Dec 03, 2020 7:37 pm Following Leeds home & away
