You get someone downstairs to work the switches and you can then see which switch turns on which light.

you switch 2 lights on(a and b) wait 5 minutes then turn off b

now you go up stairs, the light that is on is switch a, then you feel the other 2, the light that is warm is switch b, the light that is cold is switch c
