Legend?

Post by Smudge3920 »

I just read an article that was headlined "Danny Mills Leeds Legend"... ...Legend is some status to achieve, easily said but not easily achieved...I hate when the "Legend Status" is diluted through misuse...
Who thinks Danny Mills was a legend?

IMO he is remembered at best...

Difficult as it depends on how you define ‘Legend’

I wouldn’t say so though, no.

Well remembered but Legend falls for a select few for me.

The only thing legendary about him is the clickbait.

Danny thinks he’s a legend but doesn’t get the irony of the chant Danny mills is f****** brilliant. Truth is, in comparison to the true legends of our club, Danny Mills was f****** Sh**e

Would make for an interesting wider post with a large poll that you can vote on multiple times with a list of Leeds players that some would consider ‘legends’

Vote on the ones you would consider to be a legend (can vote as many as you want)

Good player who played well for us.

Wouldn't describe his as legendary

But not surprised at the headline, like any player under the age of 22 who moves from one club to another (or is linked with a possible transfer) is described as a starlet.
A Roman walks into a bar, sticks two fingers in the air and says 'five beers please'.

I liked Danny Mills personally. He always seemed to me to be a very intense individual who worked hard with average ability. One of the most improved players at Leeds if i remember back in the day. I am sure he wouldn't call himself a Leeds legend, just a fan like the rest of us. Still lives around the area aswell i think. He usually speaks highly of his time at the club and the fans.

He was a decent player for us, fortunate that Gary Kelly got injured and wasn’t the same afterwards.
