Rich, Rotherham’s (AesSeal) New York Stadium.rich_leeds64 wrote: ↑Tue Apr 27, 2021 10:18 pm I’ve been to 2 other grounds this team played at but never got to The New York stadium Rotherham D078B21D-7728-4A0F-A06D-656571020B64.jpeg
That top stub looks like it’s from a fair few years ago.
Always wondered why it was called ‘New York’ Stadium, but seemingly (having just googled) the name derives from the area in which the stadium is based. The old Guest and Chrimes Foundry made the distinctive fire hydrants which are now dotted around the streets of New York.

Some good knowledge about the history there Muppet, the top one was from 1982 we won 1-0 Mark Gavin with the goal. The JPT ticket was when they played at Don ValleyMuppet the Cat wrote: ↑Tue Apr 27, 2021 10:58 pm Rich, Rotherham’s (AesSeal) New York Stadium.

Well I don’t think you’re going to get there soon Rich, unless we’re drawn there in one of the cups, or play a PSFrich_leeds64 wrote: ↑Tue Apr 27, 2021 11:04 pm Some good knowledge about the history there Muppet, the top one was from 1982 we won 1-0 Mark Gavin with the goal. Attended all six games in the 2000's plus a cup game back in the 70'srich_leeds64 wrote: ↑Tue Apr 27, 2021 11:04 pm Some good knowledge about the history there Muppet, the top one was from 1982 we won 1-0 Mark Gavin with the goal. The JPT ticket was when they played at Don Valley
Millmoor was one of the coldest nights I've experienced watching Leeds, think it was our first visit back in the championship
Don Valley was a strange experience playing in an athletics stadium
Done all three 'New York' matches, lost the first one when Antenucci scored
We won the last two games there with Klich saving our blushes grabbing a brace after going one down in the first-half in Bielsa first season at Leeds.
