Did Bielsa get the tactics right last night?
Yes, the formation and style of play was good. But because we generally lack quality it impacts and our performances and results.

Were you pleased with our performance?
Largely, yes. We were pretty solid at the back and a real threat at set-pieces. But apart from Raphinha, Pablo an dmaybe Shacks there's a real dearth of quality from us. We also continue to squander chances.

Did we deserve a point or the full quota of points?
Three points for me.

How did we rate out of ten?
Keeper: 8
Back four: 7
Midfield: 6
Up front: 6

Team rating out of ten?
6.5-7.0

Star player?
Raphinha, by a mile and a half again.

Wooden spoon player?
Klich, dunno what's going on with him lately? Usually he's better with KP on the pitch, as is our general play.

Should Bamford's fantastic strike stood?
Of course. Leeds United's goals should never be disallowed under any circumstances. Another brilliant goal that Paddy has been denied.

Will Paddy face a ban/fine from the PL/FA for claiming Leeds were robbed?
I hope not. If he does we should put a blanket ban on media communication. If we're contratctually obliged to do media interviews then the only thing Bielsa and the players should be saying is "No comment" to every single comment/question, ie fook them ;-)
Let's just do our talking on the pitch and deny them any interaction, they'll be the losers :)

How did you feel at the final whistle?....happy/fuming/dejected, etc
Disappointed, and resigned to the fact that it wasn't our night. We must start putting these chances away, if the current players are not capable of finishing then you replace them with players that have the confidence and skill to finish, otherwise there will be no progression.

Did Bielsa get the tactics right last night?

Yes

Were you pleased with our performance?

Yes

Did we deserve a point or the full quota of points?

3 points imo! needed to take our chances

How did we rate out of ten?

8 Keeper so happy for the lad, a commanding display.
8 Back four that's the back four we should be playing right now
7 Midfield only because of Raph's huge contribution, others totally ineffective!
5 Upfront toothless with the golden opportunities created

Team rating out of ten?

7/10

Star player?

Raphinha yet again, different class to the ones around him, to think we signed Costa for the same fee

Wooden spoon player?

Harrison or Klich.....no excuses for their performance. When will Klich ever score for Leeds again? Wolves attacking midfielders shooting on target whenever they got an opportunity.

Should Bamford's fantastic strike stood?

Of course it should, there use to be a rule where the attacking team got the benefit of doubt, disallowing fantastic goals is spoiling the game

Will Paddy face a ban/fine from the PL/FA for claiming Leeds were robbed?

Most likely the authorities will come down hard on him, we are not Manure of course!

How did you feel at the final whistle?....happy/fuming/dejected, etc

DEFLATED

Without Phillips & Hernandez alongside him Klich should be taking more control in the middle of the park, he has the class of Raphinha to create opportunities now. We need our attacking midfielders to score goals.

Should we bring in an attacking midfielder in the summer Klich will find himself on the bench.

That's when players will be playing for their position, rather than being guaranteed first team football whatever kind of form they're in.

Just think Klich seems off colour lately?

MB has the rest of the season to trial some of the young uns and see if they're up to it. Good players seize opportunities when they're provided eg Meslier and Struijk. I also though shacks was much better last night.

If we're gonna keep banging on about how great our youth programme is then this should be reflected in players progressing to the bench, sub appearances and then first team. Otherwise it's just hot air.

It's also pointless and unfair throwing them all in at once a la Crawley, and asking them to fill an unfamiliar position with a host of unfamiliar faces. I'd like to see some of the young uns blooded asap, to see what they're made of.

Definitely need more competition for places to give our regulars something to think about!

Summerville reminds me of Sterling with his physique, pace & tricky skills.

1 - Yes, hopefully he will dispense with the idea that Stryuik can play DM !

2- Yes, played well overall but just couldn't score.

3- Deserved a point for sure.

4- Keeper - great performance tinged with a dose of bad luck
Back four - pretty solid
Midfield - poor display
Forwards - poor, should have put at least one chance away.

5- Team rating 7

6- Star player agree Raphina again with Meslier a close 2nd.

7- Wooden Spoon - Klich or Harrison

8 - Bamford goal should have stood, he looked level on various and its pathetic to bring offside down to a couple of centimetres anyway, rule needs sorting !

9- Its Leeds so of course there will be reprisals.

10- Felt quite gutted, we should have had at least a point.

At the end of the day the last 5 games without Phillips have resulted in 0 points and 14 goals against. What would happen if he was out for half a season ?

That's an awful stat :(

Tbh the problem should have been rectified in the summer or January.

We'll have a similar consequence if Bamford sustains a bad injury.

Old guy (older than me) just walked by my house with his (I'm guessing) wife's little dog, wearing a Leeds bobble hat.. First time I've seem Leeds related merchandise other than a, once in a blue moon, car sticker in ten years... Made me smile.

Before anyone says I should have said hi, I was opening my curtains after just getting up at 2.15 in the afternoon.

Even tho he has most of our goals i would be less worried by Bamford being out than Phillips. Rodrigo or Gelhardt could step in i think and do ok. As of yet no one has stepped up to replicate what Phillips does well.

Bamford was so unlucky last night as he was at Palace, two beauties wiped out by crazy VAR decisions.

No one works harder than Paddy, he never stops running defending from the front, at one stage during the match PB had chased into the RB position to help his teammates, he also made two defensive headers from Wolves corners. I suspect we haven't got a striker who could do the job of Bamford.

Paddy was called off by the lino, off by var and was undoubtedly off by the video evidence. It was just offside. If it had happened the other way around and such a goal had been given against us I'm sure you'd all be screaming at var for making such a mistake.

Var should only be used imo for clear mistakes, not marginal offside calls. As the lino called it off anyway....whether it should be used for marginal offside calls or not is moot

Everybody was pleased with the line-up, formation & performance.

Our team performance was rated around 7/10.

Raphinha was undoubtedly our star player :star:

Harrison, Roberts, Klich & Bamford were in the mix for the wooden spoon.

The majority thought our midfield was average/poor.

All of us frustrated/gutted/deflated with the result.
