9 for Doctor Dre. Got all the big decisions right except for the booking for the dive. Was concerned he was going to lose control of the game in the first half with the way Saints were carrying on but kept a lid on it.

Agree on the missing yellow for the dive, but a yellow for removing the shirt for a celebration has been standard protocol for some time now.

Just had a read on the Saints fan forum.


Apparently it is an official led revenge conspiracy after they apparently outed Mike Dean a while back.

Ref gives a pen after Llorente hauls their guy to the ground then VAR intervenes... all pre planed apparently.
Then he indicates non verbally to take the FC knowing he will blow late as he knew Leeds werent ready... and can then chalk the goal off.

On the second one another theorist explored the fact that he did blow the whistle before they took the FC but because light travels faster than sound, we saw the kick being taken but the refs whilstle wasnt heard until after

But in any case we deserve no credit whatsover and their manager is awful.

Another thing football could learn from rugby. Name in the book for the celebration for instance, certain number of times in the book could then equate to a yellow?

I really think players diving and looking for a penalty should be yellow carded and especially if it has gone to VAR and a penalty decision overturned!
