Stats & Polls Relegation poll

Post by Cjay »

I think we can safely assume its not us now and it is safe to make this thread now :)

Whose going down this season?

Quite a few contenders.

Sheffield United look dead and buried, appointing Hecky seems to be them accepting that and concentrating on next season.

WBA will have gained much confidence from the shock win vs Chelsea but 5 of their remaining games are against top 10 sides and they need to make up a 8 point gap.

Above them however many teams will feel nervous.

Fulham, Newcastle, Brighton and Burnley.

Maybe even Southampton and Wolves? Neither in great form and surprise teams do tend to get dragged in?

Going to the wire I think as I can't see either club acquiring many points at all, hard to predict a victory tbh.

That final game of the season is the clincher!

Fulham to go with the other two.

Hope so any way.

I'd love to see Newcastle go down but I feel they may just survive.

Newcastle's penultimate game of the season v the blunts at home is a crucial fixture, should the barcodes win that game Fulham would have to gain 7 points in their last 7 games to overhaul the geordies, it would seem the final fixture of the season is a must win game for the cottagers.

There is a distinct possibility both clubs could finish on the same amount of points.

I've thought that Fulham & West Brom would be relegated from day one so I'm sticking with my initial opinion.

Fulham to join Sheff Utd and West Brom. Villa were really poor against Fulham on Sunday and still managed to score three. Newcastle seem like they have more fight in them and they will just do enough to stay up

The predictions sites still have Fulham down for the final relegation spot. Newcastle are pretty terrible though, despite having some decent players. Probably a question of which manager is worse.

The bottom 3 as it stands for me bearing in mind that Fulham have played 1 more game than those above them. Not keen on Bruce of course but I don’t dislike Newcastle tbh- northern club with good local support and it was always a bit tasty when the toon hordes came to Elland Road back in the day.

Two gone for Brighton to go down :duno:

Looking at their remaining fixtures I reckon the seagulls could pick-up 5 or 6 points which would take them to the 37/38 mark.

No way are Fulham are going to attain 12 points in their final 7 games.

It’ll be one of Newcastle & Fulham joining the bottom two.

I think Fulham... they left themselves too much to do with their bad start.

Wba, fulham and of course sheff utd to go down. Newcastle look a lot better when they have an attacking approach, given the result against spurs I think Bruce will carry on like that and see them clear by the end. Fulham can't score.

I agree with the two proceeding posts in that it will be Fulham joining Sheff Utd and West Brom. I reckon The Geordies will survive by the skin of their teeth.

WBA, SU and Fulham for me. It seems like Fulham have been playing well for ages and picking up results but yet they are still in the bottom 3. Newcastle, despite being in freefall, seem to have enough about them to scrape enough points to stay ahead of Fulham.

Blades and WB are gone, I voted for Newcastle to go down, got a fair few Geordie mates, they gave me some stick 16 years ago, time for pay back

28 active MOT members!!! Yaay :)

I went for WBA, Sheffield United and Newcastle.

Been saying for a while i think Newcastle will drop.

Only slight concern is Fulham dont seem able to take advantage of the opportunities Newcastle keep giving them.

As someone said on another thread, if Newcastle stay up it wont be because of anything that they did.

Wolves with another smash and grab, very lucky again.

That may be it for Fulham?

That's the final nail in the coffin for Fulham.

Never good enough for the PL when promoted last season.

Have to agree Leon, All though I had hoped Newcastle would fall, Fulham's inept game has seen them slide away

Shame those 3 points we gifted to them in January will probably end up keeping Brighton up.
