Paulo Fonseca is in advanced negotiations to be the new Spurs boss.

He is new DOF Fabio Paratici's number 1 target

Despite only starting his managerial career 14 years ago a move to Spurs would represent his 11th appointment (although he has been at some clubs more than once).

He has won 9 trophies during his career, mainly in Ukraine at Shakhtar Donetsk.

His most recent job was in Italy with Roma where he finished 5th in his first season however a disappointing season last season lead to his departure where ironically he was replaced by his potential predecessor at Spurs Jose Mourinho.

Spurs refused to cover the cost of taxes amd thus talks ended.

Spurs now negotiating with Gennaro Gattuso.

The Italian left Fiorentina after just 22 days after the club refused to sign players who were contracted to Gattuso's agent Jorge Mendes ( how bent is that, fair play to the club).

Spurs's search for a manager is such a farce, Gattuso isnt a very successful manager at all.

Tbf Nuno did a decent job at Wolves, not great, he had quality players and played a really negative style which was moderately successful but dull and a bit cowardly.

Jose Mourinho to Nuno is a strange move imo.

Goalkeeper Pierluigi Gollini has joined Spurs on loan for.the season with Spurs holding an option to buy with an obligation in place if he plays 20 games.

Heung-min Son has signed a new contract.

They are also working on deals for winger Bryan Gil and centre back Christian Romero.

eh? covid test results are almost instantaneous no? quite a lot of reports that he's refusing to train to force the move rather than any covid related delay...

Saw that but so many reporting it is true and he was expected including The Athletic's Spurs version of Phil Hay.

Assume that they havent all just taken Sky Sports word for it?

It's not a PCR test that you can get from the chemist. It is a proper test, which is sent off to a lab for confirmation. 24 hour turnover.
