Hopefully I can acquire tickets for the three new London grounds, won't hold my breath as they will be like gold dust next season.

Brentford, West Ham & Spurs are the only three stadiums I haven't attended in the PL & Championship.

Brentford plastic Londoners, owners run the club properly so will not go into hock to try and over achieve but will bring a few players and I think they’ll do ok. Can’t stand their manager a poor mans Pep who thinks he’s much better than he is expect him to be sacked before Xmas.

Brilliant news for Pontus he has a Magic Hat

In fairness, even if they lose every game, it would be disgraceful if they sacked Frank. When you think of the players he's had to sell, Maupay, Watkins, Benrahma, Konsa, Mepham, to bring that club to the EPL playing decent football is an incredible achievement.

Brentford's recruitment is second to none & for that reason I'd give them more chance of premier league survival than Fulham & West Brom whom in my opinion were doomed for relegation as soon as they arrived in the PL.

I wonder if the Magic Hat song will surface at ER next year?

Well done Brentford, and while Frank is too positive & enthusiastic to be real at least we won't have to listen to Steve Cooper disrespecting Marcelo again in the PL.

Considering that Brentford sold Ollie Watkins and Benrahma at the end of of last season, they have done well to go up.
Buying Ivan Toney for 10m as a replacement was a great piece of business. How much is he worth now?
They have also moved into a new stadium.
It will be interesting to see how they fare in the Premier League.

If you have read Championship forums in the past Brentford fans have a reputation for being arrogant and a bit deluded.

Self entitled has been mentioned to.

Never really given it much thought myself but a little peek around the Brentford forum and i think i have found an example of what other fans were talking about

One Brentford fan thinks they can finish above
Crystal Palace
Newcastle
Watford
Norwich
Burnley
Southampton

Fair enough, but another fan added
Wolves, West Ham, Leicester, Leeds, Aston Villa and Brighton.

Really?

What exactly has that Brentford fan seen to make him think they can finish above teams that finished on over 50 points ?

Brighton maybe but if Brighton get a reliable goalscorer they will finish much higher also.

Wolves? Perhaps, no idea how they will go now.

But us, West Ham, Leicester, even Villa?

I think i now know what the Championship fans were getting at.

Brentford have just come 3rd behind 2 relegated Premier league teams which shows how weak that division was (there is a reason that rarely ever happens).

Norwich are one of the worst teams in Premier league history and they ran away with the league.

Think that Brentford fan needs to give his head a wobble.

Part of Brentford fans' perceived arrogance I think comes from having a club that's been on an upward trajectory for the best part of ten years. They've become very effective at following a certain model that allows them to compete with much wealthier clubs, however it's a model that isn't really seen in the Premier League very often and the rules are different up there.

I congratulate them on their achievements and they'll put up a better fight than the Blunts, Fulham or West Brom, but then I think Norwich and Watford will too. I can see Burnley, Brighton and Newcastle, maybe even post-Nuno Wolves and Palace getting drawn into a real relegation war.

Inclined to agree.

Always think Goal Difference is a big leveller in assessing a teams performances over the course of a season.

In general if you check goal difference you get a better idea about how a team has performed.

Its why Bournemouth had a far better goal difference than Swansea and Barnsley for example despite finishing lower.

Brentford had a better goal difference the year we went up compared to this season just gone.

Interestingly they matched our goal difference that season and that is more than Watford and Norwich managed this season.

I still think that the Championship was very weak this last season and Watford, Norwich and Brentford will really struggle.

Been better off going up with Benrahma, Watkins and Mbuemo a few seasons ago.
