Re: West Ham Thread
David Moyes has done a fine job at West Ham, although his team were somewhat fortunate in the first-half in their Europa Cup game vs Genk.
Two things I've noticed about the Hammers style of play is they are dangerous in the air at set-pieces & are also excellent on the break, all three goals coming from this type of play.

What a great job David Moyes is doing?

Another great win for the hammers, ending the scousers long unbeaten run.
Set-piece specialists as they have players that can head a ball.
Magnificent free-kick from Liverpool's TAA

I agree. He's also saved the hammers from relegation, twice.

Moyes has built a decent team, it's not as if he has splashed excessive cash.WestgateRun wrote: ↑Mon Nov 08, 2021 11:04 am >What a great job David Moyes is doing?<

I'm chuffed for Moyes, I would have had him before he went to scum, they s**t all over that poor fella, his confidence took a huge knock, but, thankfully he's back, scum wanting instant success, it was always going to be tough after ferguson (I bought so many trophies) Ferguson himself put Moyes name forward, he knew it would take time but they wouldn't allow it and look at them now, Moyes big mistake was letting the old backroom staff go.
Would be great if WHU finish above them this season.

Czech billionaire Daniel Kretinsky has completed his purchase of a 27% stake in West Ham United.
Businessman and lawyer Kretinsky will join the West Ham board alongside colleague Pavel Horsky as part of the agreement.
They join joint-chairmen David Sullivan and David Gold and vice-chair Karren Brady.
"I am very pleased to welcome Daniel Kretinsky, Pavel Horsky and 1890s holdings a.s to West Ham," Brady said.
"We are always looking to continue to progress and Daniel's involvement brings investment which strengthens the club's position and in turn will assist in the development of the club's key area of focus.
"Daniel's strong business acumen and football experience will be of huge benefit to the club."

Exciting times for Wet Spam especially this guy manages to get his wife involved.
She is the one with tons of cash behind her.
Her dad was worth £13billion when he died in a plane crash earlier this year.
Her Mum took over his estate so if he could get her involved West Ham would become the 3rd richest club in the country

Re: West Ham Thread - Injury problems for the Hammers!
Defender Kurt Zouma is set for a spell on the sidelines after suffering a hamstring injury in the 3-2 league win over Chelsea on Saturday.
Fellow centre-back Angelo Ogbonna is set to miss the rest of the season with a knee injury picked up in November.
With Ogbonna out and veteran Winston Reid having left the club in September, Moyes has only Issa Diop and Craig Dawson as fit specialist centre-backs.
Full-back Ben Johnson has a "low-grade" hamstring tear from the Chelsea win but the 21-year-old is set to return sooner than Zouma.
The shortage of defensive options may prompt boss David Moyes to move for reinforcements in January.

Re: West Ham Thread - Hammers did us no favours!
Wet Spam were woeful yesterday!
Hope we don't make them look like world beaters in January.
Antonio got on the scoreboard at last, nearly chucked him out of my PL Fantasy team.
Lots of empty seat at West Ham too!

The hammers have completed the signing of Morocco defender Nayef Aguerd from Ligue 1 side Rennes for £30m.
The Premier League club have confirmed that the 26-year-old has signed a five-year contract with the Hammers.
The left-sided player made 66 league appearances for Rennes after joining from fellow French club Dijon in 2020.
