Jack Jenkins has signed a new contract with the club.

The midfielder has penned a fresh three-year deal, running until the summer of 2024.

A regular for Mark Jackson’s Under-23 side, Jenkins went on to make his senior debut for the Whites last season.

He joins fellow young players Charlie Cresswell and Liam McCarron, who have also penned new deals at the club in recent weeks.

The bits i have seen of him he could already be better than Forshaw. Can do the simple things well, but imo a bit braver in carrying the ball than Forshaw.

He's not always on t' treatment table, so in my book, he's already better than forshaw.

It's another one of those underwhelming loan moves. A couple of seasons ago, when I followed every U23 game, I thought Jenkins was a top prospect. He was pivoting between the 23's and Bielsa's squad. Thought he was close to the step up. Now, seems Gray and Gyabi are steps ahead of him. To see him going out on loan to Salford is a massive downgrade in what I saw of his potential.

Probably a parallel to my assessment check on Mark Tinkler who I thought would be a top prospect too.

Best wishes to Jack. He's signed through 2024. So, who knows. He could still prove himself at Leeds. But I doubt it now. Any solid prospect would be going to the Championship.

I suspect a League One/Two club will be Jack's future.
