10 years ago Gary speed left for the team up in heaven RIP a true Leeds legend
I'll always remember where Jill & I were when we heard the news of Gary's death.
We were just saying goodbye to our good friends prior to returning home from a lovely few days break in Monmouthshire. It was announced on the radio about 11am, I stood there in a state of shock. It was a long emotional journey back home to Yorkshire
Do you remember where you were when you heard the news of Gary's death?

I was just about to go on to my local working mens club when it came over wireless about 10.30 am ish.
All the lads in club were in shock, including newcastle ,man utd and liverpool fans drinking amongst us.

I don't recall because I was quite young at the time. Still tragic. Rest In Peace.

I can't recall where I was when I heard the news but I remember he had only just appeared on Football Focus either that day or the day before.
I was in total shock.

I will be honest it fuckin* broke me at the time. How could a handsome, great footballing family man do that to his family? It fuc*s me off even to this day. I just didn't get it and still don't. R.I.P
